Kate Hudson has a good performance but the movie lacks in the music department. It's a autobiography of sorts but not an interesting one.

Filme legalzinho, o roteiro é bacana, o filme mostra um garoto chamado William que acompanha os shows da banda stillwater por várias cidades dos Estados Unidos, a história do filme é boa, junto com as cenas, o filme um pequeno romance entre William e a penny lane, mas depois acaba, no final ele consegue voltar para a casa junto com sua irmã e publicar a entrevista para o jornal Rolling stone, com tudo isso, eu recomendo esse filme.

A good comedy adventure.

An aspiring music journalist, on the cusp of adulthood, follows an aspiring rock band for an article while grappling with his overprotective mother. The film boasts a few standout scenes, delivered with good acting and sensitivity. However, its pacing suffers from an excessive runtime, making it less engaging. While William and his mother are captivating characters, the band lacks the same level of interest It would be a much better movie if it were edited into 90 minutes or less.

The most boring "rock band" ever. And was that supposed to be Hunter S. Thompson with the cigarette holder? A godawful film.

Almost Famous is one of my favorite movies. When my son was in middle school, he left our car in front of his school and I yelled out "Don't do drugs." The look on his face makes me laugh today. Great movie. Great cast, Great directing.

"Almost Famous" is a complete semi-autobiographical early 70s story of a teenage music writer, as he goes on tour with a well-received, up and coming rock band, witnessing the real, insubordinate highs and lows of their lifestyle. We get to see the full arcs of several characters from different standpoints, whether that be the worried mother, high status musician, enigmatic band-aid or wide-eyed journalist - naturally, charismatically and with great depth. Kate Hudson is absolutely lovely and eye-catching in a genuine, sensitive performance; Patrick Fugit equally naive and likeable;, Phillip Seymour Hoffman honest and dependable aid, and Billy Crudup and Frances McDormand clashing and unadulterated bandmates, Should not miss - so much heart!

I love everything about this film. The cast are perfectly picked. The music is sublime. The story is reminiscent of the dream we have all had of that era. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen it!

A very good and enjoyable coming of age film that properly builds its world and atmosphere. Almost Famous also succeeds with it's performances, comedic timing, and soundtrack. There may not be all too much special in the way of this movie, but it's hard to deny the film's magical energy and how immensely I enjoyed it.

I have seen this movie like 10 times and never realized Jimmy Fallon was in it until my most recent watch. 5/5.

Fab cast, great music, and magnetic characters like Russell and Penny who ooze coolness and ease. Seeing it all through William’s eyes, it’s funny, heartwarming, bewildering, and at times - crushing - perfectly capturing unrequited love and feeling on the outside but then the rush of being “in”. Speaking of crushing, why did we not get more of Billy Crudup over the years???

A frustrating and overrated picture if you're foolish enough to love rock n' roll. It seems to operate under the cynical delusion that we all just blindly worship rock stars without any inkling that there could be anything bad about any of it unless they kindly educate us by dragging us through the muck without anything more than a distant, treacherous glimmer of what's good or important or beautiful about rock n' roll.

One of my favorite movies. Love the story and the performances.

Perfectly cast and intriguing coming of age story that captures every 1970s teenagers dream of going on the road with an up-and-coming band.

Awesome ensemble performances, mostly just left wondering why Billy Crudup didn't end up as bigger leading man.

This was such a good movie with exceptional acting and storyline. The soundtrack was amazing. It's definitely worth the watch.

Dreamlike, thought-provoking, hilarious, wonderful filmmaking with perhaps the best soundtrack in any movie ever.

This movie made me want to run away with a band, literally incredible, words cannot express my gratitude towards the creators. The aesthetics 10/10, plot 10/10, writing 10/10, need to watch on a dark fall afternoon, with some vibey music humming in the background to truly enhance and watch this film with its full potential.
