Great little movie. Very Entertaining

It's the same story you've seen a thousand times. Social outcast goes on epic adventure, gets the girl, defeats the bad guy, and saves the day. That's the biggest fault here is how predictable it is the entire way and nothing is done better than the other thousand times you've seen it. That being said the voice acting and animation isn't bad. Gene Hackman is a great villian and probably the best thing. Along with Stallone who suprisingly is pretty good too. Everyone else is either just ok or above average especially Allen. I liked him at first but the more it went on and especially when he was with Bala on the journey they became very annoying at times and it just lost the charm. They really didn't have much chemistry at all. The animation holds up well except for some parts like the Monolith area which doesn't look that good. There are also some plot conviences as well along the way. The editing ain't bad either but it does a little jumpy in the middle cutting between Z and Stallone for a while. You could've probably gotten away with cutting all the Stallone as a worker scenes and not much would be lost except not meeting the runtime. The other thing the music suprisingly is just very ok. I swear half the time I forgot it was even there which is a sin for an animated movie. Overall, nothing is broken at all about it. It's just it's predictable, Allen & to a lesser extent Bala gets annoying after awhile, and nothing is particulary that well made about it save for some standout voices.Anyone who is a fan of any voice actors in this or animated flicks from around this time should check this out though.

The very first dreamworks movie is Antz but who remembers this movie anyway the animation is bad overal this movie was not very good but imagin someone made a whole studio just to copy a bugs life a movie 5/10

I liked it. Not as good as Pixar’s a Bugs Life but still a great start to Dreamworks studio!

Watched it when it came out and it aged like fine wine. Its a movie with adults themes not a stupid kids movie. And its a shame there arent more like this

Mediocre Movie, But The Same Level On Disney/Pixar's A Bug's Life

In this more inappropriate version of a bugs life, Z tries to win the princess. It's basic. I don't like this film because it is just to dull and the animation is horrible for today's standards. This is a garbage film. Don't watch.

Para mi es una gran pelicula, sinceramente me gusto más que "A bug's life", ya que tiene más madurez y profundidad en la historia, un protagonista y villano excelentes, y si bien una animación e historia no tan bien construidas, si que son entretenidas y buenas, me encantó, le doy un 9.4/10

Divertido, engraçado, e com uma ótima dosagem de humor, Formiguinhaz é uma história para toda a família, que mostra a chegada da incrível empresa DreamWorks SKG, com um simples e divertido filme.

This film would be sorely lacking in wit if it wasn't graced by the presence of Woody Allen. Dreamwork's answer (or direct competition) to 'A Bug's Life' does bring a few surprises of its own, even if its animation is very unsettling when looking back this modern age but it is nonetheless impressive for its time.

These idiots that claim the film to be horrible, animation pure crap, and bugs life better are a bunch of softies and people that don't appreciate a good film. This film personally is an impactful film and I am surprised that the audience score isn't higher than it should actually deserve. The plotline and the cast are amazing. Most of these that cry Bugs Life are all Disney monopoly supporters. Those that can't stand the fact that Dreamwork's beat Disney to it. Don't get me wrong, Bugs Life is a classic and I hate the fact that Disney took out Bug's Life land over in California Adventure. The impact of this film is not its underrated status unlike bugs life which is its main legacy. Antz is impactful because of its social message. Jedi mind Tricks samples the film on their song "Sacrifice" which is in the album Violent by Design. I am shamed by the haters truly.
