Astro Boy Reviews
It is not a good film neither a bad one. Somewhere in the middle. The story might be a bit predictable, but there are some interesting and warm moments. It is Pinocchio meeting the real boy story. The graphics are nice, but most we would wait for a Ghibli adaptation. Fun to watch just to pass time with your kids.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Still Love This Movie I Do Remember Seeing It Back In 2009
I had pretty high hopes for this, it just came across as…. Boring. Like everything was there, it just never quite hits its rhythm.
Suprisingly better than I thought it would be! I need to watch the manga cos this Character interests me!
Family Fun, but this updated version of Astro Boy was for kids and boring in most cases. Even for maybe a kindergarten or first grader it's a 7 out of 10. The animation style Imagi went with was right for the characters, not well for the plot. It's middle of the road for me even with a positive message.
Everything is great about this movie accept the villain
I absolutely loved this movie as a kid! (Still do) I don't get the hate tbh. This got me into Astro boy and started the animated series. It's such a shame to hear the animation studios "imagi" shut down due to the failure of Astro boy 🙁. They were a really outstanding production studio. I hope we get more Astro boy media in near time, I'm getting tired of generic tv and movies.
i loved this movie shut up
This movie is not as great as the manga but it's still good. I think people are overreacting.
Tmnt was better than this
It is a good movie, it has emotion and story.
Honestly, it's shame it didn't do so well. I thought it was pretty decent and its a shame that there were planned sequels.
This movie was well done. It's a shame it did not find a bigger audience. It reminds me of the superior 'Alita Battle Angel' which is another underviewed gem. I believe if you like action adventure kids shows like "Power Rangers" or "Dragon Ball Z", you should be entertained by Astro Boy. It wasn't bad. 79/100 C+
Although it is true that the story of this film is not the same as the one that the anime and the original story of Osamu Tezuka had been telling us, the Astroboy movie serves as a reboot to tell us from another perspective and with other events the story of this character. I grew up with Astroboy, and thanks to him, I was fascinated with the idea of how incredible robots and mechanics can be, to the point of how they could benefit us in the future or even how we could get along with them. they. I just hope that one day Astroboy returns to theaters and feels like the first time I saw him, without a doubt he would like to live that moment again.
It's good. I don't remember much except I know I found the father very annoying, but overall it was good, I guess. A movie worth seeing at least once in your life.
This is my childhood right here.
As a massive manga/anime fan, this one really missed the mark. Something about the animation felt uncanny valley in a sense like something was missing. 2D/cell-shading may have been a better direction for this despite how most films are 3D anyway. A lot of the heart was missing too. I tried to like this, I really did. The issue is I had to try. It's just a shame... This was such a missed opportunity. If you want a meaningful Tezuka movie: Phoenix, Jungle Emperor Leo or The brave change the future.
