Bad Education Reviews
Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, e as cenas até que são bacaninhas, mas não faz o filme ser bom.
This film opened my eyes on Almodovars’ world. It’s been a long journey since then. The colours, the lines, everything explain Almodovar. Extremely different from the newest ones, the film is in the centre, I completely agree with the stylistic era divisions used for the director’s filmography. If you want to start the journey probably this movie sets you in the middle and encourage you to go back or forward between his films.
A narrative with layers and layers that are revealed as the film progresses, taking on a dark, dense way towards the end. Although the plot is labyrinthine, there is attention to many details that allow it to be read correctly. It plays a lot with the molding of the characters' personalities, and although one does not feel particularily emotionally trapped with them, intrigue and disturbance do come into play.
With a thick plot and bizarre characters woven into the corruption of the church, bad education is a doozy.
confused, passionate, surprising
("La Mala Educacion"/"Bad Education") (Spanish with subtitles) Not very enjoyable.
Wonderfully plotted 'Bad Education' makes you wonder what exactly happens on the screen from time to time, giving you this feeling of a fairy-tale or a fantasy. On the other hand the film has quite a daunting mood, which is apparently related to the sexual abuse topic raised in it. This feeling might be a little bit overwhelming to simply enjoy the movie, but it is something that adds a weight to it.
Was this a true story? If so, I might give it more credit than I did. I really expected to enjoy this more, but the truth is that I didn't know entirely what to expect before I started watching it. It didn't have a normal preview, but instead the only preview was a short part of the movie. The human behavior portrayed in this movie didn't feel real or human to me, but rather it seemed like some kind of entertainment-industry propaganda, especially as it relates to gays. Something about the people didn't convey realism to me. It's for this reason that it failed to emotionally connect with me. Something just felt off, so I personally differ with both the "PROFESSIONAL CRITIC" and audience assessments of this film. I am familiar with many of the actors from other projects which is a big reason why I was enthusiastic about seeing this. Despite my criticisms, I'm glad I took the time to watch. I was curious for sure, just disappointed after seeing it. Bummer. I had really hoped to like it more.
Poetic, bad education has stories inside stories like the tales of Jezabel. It's a story about love, manipulation and abuse and how all of those things are mixed and impossible to be separated from each other. You definitely need to see it.
Male education is one of the most controversial films that I have seen. Gael Garcia Bernal is one of my favorite actors and he proves it in this film. This is a very disturbing film and very twisted at the end. This film delivers the goods in all aspects and is going down as one of the best performances of Gael Garcia Bernal. As that being said for this movie being great and seeing how Mexican movies are being hits in the states, I give " Bad Education " a C.
Bad Education surpasses all expectations telling this passionate love story with more than a few twist.
Small Picture : Molestation Movie. Big Picture : Movie about love, lost innocence and redemption. Great work by Almodovar, and one of Gael Garcia Bernal's best performance.
Although it took me a long time to get around to seeing it, I think I can safely say that 'Bad Education' is my favorite Almodovar film that I've seen yet! While maybe not as racy today as it seemed in 2004, this endlessly juicy, surprising, and Hitchcockian film is supreme entertainment.
A tale of passion, sex, abuse, and deceit, "Bad Education" is a film of beauty that finds Almodóvar at his melodramatic best.
