Batman Reviews
No option to delete. Just put stars in middle, sorry. 14th Sept 2024ce.
This movie is very outdated but in a sort of way that makes it better than several other newer Batman movies. Adam West and Burt Ward act in such a way that makes this movie a classic.
Los efectos son buenos para ser de 1966 la historia es buena, chistosa y divertida
It may not have aged well, but it certainly was great for its time.
The world of comic books was a much different place in the 1960's. With the Comics Code Authority forcing all stories to be more family friendly, the Silver Age of comics saw a lot of heroes take on different roles in the wider world. Showing a much lighter version of the character, Batman: The Movie gives us a very different version of the character than modern audiences are used to today. Spinning out of the incredibly successful 온라인카지노추천 show, many of the shows cast members are brought in to reprise their roles for the big screen. With Adam West & Burt Ward as our lead heroes, Batman & Robin, they face off against 4 of their most conniving foes from the series. The duo are amusingly fun and the actors work so well off each other, as true pals. The acting, though cheesy, is quite charming as a time capsule of the time, with all heroes and villains creating delightful performances. The story plays like a rather long episode of the show and, while there are some very iconic moments, it gets very repetitive and boring as the story stretches longer. The visuals are a mix of cute and cheap, with the Batcave and villain lairs always looking as if they stepped off the page of a comic. The dialogue can go over the top at points, but it almost seems self aware of its own cheesiness while poking fun at it. Though it is often looked at as a joke, this may be the most faithful adaptation of Batman so far. Every moment perfectly encapsulates the 60's style comics, with the playful tones and bright, smiling heroes that were expected at the time. Batman: The Movie shows a wonderful insight into an older age of superheroes, but fails to feel like more than a longer episode of the series.
Best Batman movie ever made.
Campy as hell, but that's what it's supposed to be and thats why I love this film.
So I decided to rewatch all the Batman movies, because why not. This movie is really campty, it was just fine to me. Although I still thought it was pretty solid, and it’s enjoyable. Overall I would give this movie a 6/10, but i get why it is campty and it’s sure better then the Joel Schumacher Batman films.
A timelss classic. What else could you ask for?
Disguised as the worst film ever, "Batman" is an absurdly and hilariously overblown movie poking fun at superheroes in a gloriously ridiculous, blatantly nonsensical way while at the same time taking carefully orchestrated potshots at the Tower of Babel called UN, parasitical leaders, prudish fanatics offended by violence and sex in films and demonizing people they deem unethical, conforming to the law and police, and using the laws of nature to divide (but breaking them for the sake of action!).
Just a goofy, cheesy classic, I do recommend checking it out.
A very funny movie, Adam West shines as Batman and all of the villains including moustache Joker are great. The theme is of course great and I love how everything is called a Bat-Something and the punches and combat are so fun. Great movie, wish I could watch the show now if this is just a long episode.
Albeit goofy and long and stupid, it's hard to resist Batman: The Movie's ridiculously silly action sequences and premise, even if it's certainly not of the highest quality.
It's wildly out of place today, but that's part of the fun of this zany Batman film. Watch for nostalgia, and you may get a few good laughs along the way.
Goofy and fun. Passes the time and love the villains. Lots of iconic scenes.
Doesn't feel as much a movie as such as a longer episode of the regular show this is a part of. Still, if you're a fan of the show this is still very enjoyable. This was before the gritty Batman of today so this movie is a straight up comedy. Most of the jokes land for me and the story is a fun adventure in the 60's. At first the scenes with the riddles were ridiculous, but that's the point! Matter of fact this movie has the best showcase of the Batman & Robins detective skills if you really think about it. This movie doesn't really hold up but just take it for what it is and it'll be a nice ride. Adam West Batman is iconic and I unapologetically will love his Batman until the end of time.
Funny to watch but not good by any means. Very entertaining. 3.6/10
