I am not a professional critique person but I have to say this film sort of reminds me of squid game and I mean that in the sense of how the plot is. They are on an island with missions and if they break the rules they die. They also have neck monitors on them too. The last person to survive leaves the island. Not like squid game where they leave the island and get the jackpot money. The movie has a lot of insane deaths, there are just guns left and right! From what I have counted there was 45 dead people. If you’re not a fan of blood I would avoid it because there is a lot. I also really love the acting in the killing and shooting scenes too. It’s a very wild movie but it’s a really good movie. I would recommend watching it if you liked watching squid game or you if you like a good thriller movie.

The use of classical greats for this soundtrack made this film initially standout and what follows is a gripping story, premise the likes of which studios and films have tried to recreate but not fully capture. Loses a little focus with the dream sequences in my opinion but does serve to add a bit more depth to the films bloody horrific action nature.

The film does has moments where it could be controversial Japanese dystopian thriller in which a class of students need to fight due to being forced because the government orders them to do it. The film shows to be governmental control survival skills and lots of intense and action but also shows the different tension it has on a persons thinking. The film was not bad nor great but just in the middle which the film tends to show a deeper message which the film may not be for everyone and some will find it unpleasing while other will find the film interesting and different from others.

I would not recommend this movie. To be honest, I did not really enjoy the plot. This film felt very cliche to me and some of the deaths were just over the top. People say not to take the film “seriously” so you can enjoy it. But, I feel like that does not make sense. It’s a thriller… I feel like it should be taken seriously to some extent. Teens and adolescents misbehaving so they started (Battle Royale) to teach them does not really make sense to me. the movie was cool and entertaining in some aspects but u definitely would not watch it again. The movie is very gory and violent so if you do not like that I would suggest you skip! I also did not really enjoy the love stories; it felt poorly done and out of place to me. The CGI is definitely not the greatest either.

I watched this film a couple yesrs ago but went I discovered this film called under the cult category I was surprised. Reasoning for this is cause the first cult film I belive I watched was El Topo which in my opinion was horroable as I didn't know what I was watching. Anyways I do recommend this film and as I said it been a while since I watched this and all I really remember is it does include a lot of gore and if I can recall the ending was a little weird other than that recommendplot of film is pretty crazy.

Incredibly gory, unrelenting and tightly packaged, Battle Royale is such an exciting movie that keeps you engaged from scene one while also having some well handled moments of character depth. There are a couple of scenes that could have been changed slightly, but that is a nitpick, as i found this to be so much fun and it definitely falls under the category of an all killer, no filler type of movie.

Battle Royale, directed by Kinji Fukasaku, was released in 2000. This is an educational movie to show adults how to make kids be more respectful. This movie takes place in Japen where the children have become delinquent and disrespectful. The government rounds up a random group of students to kill each other with-in three days. Battle Royale is very similar to the Hunger Games that was made in 2012. In one of the beginning scenes there is a student that whispers in class. This is very rude and disrespectful. The teacher had no other choice but to throw a knife at the child and kill them. To quote Lois C.K.’s YouTube Video, If Murder Was Legal, “Children would behave very differently if murder was legal.” Maybe Battle Royale has the right idea. Not only will adding a little more restrictions to children’s life make them more respectful, but it will also lower the population by the need to put certain unruly children down.

Pointless, frustrating, not enjoyable by any metric and definitely not deserving of a higher rating.

The great Japanese BATTLE ROYALE. Khaki clad waifus and boys battle each other to the death. Grisly kills, over the top reactions and lots of blood. drama too. its a must see.

Violent et pertinent avec cette vision dystopique d'une société en décadence utilisant des moyens extrême pour résoudre ses problèmes, Battle Royale est très efficace dans sa mise en scène ainsi que dans sa BO qui permet bien de rendre le choc de certaines situations.

🍅 7.3/10 I mean, I didn’t know how they were going to approach the Fortnite movie but it’s kind of weird that they use teenagers like it be more realistic to use eight-year-olds. Pretty good movie. I watched the dubbed version because the original wasn’t an option so 🙁 it probably be a little bit better with the original audio. Still pretty solid and super dark with some pretty great characters. but I don’t know I just don’t dig it like others but I like it and I can see why people definitely love it. Grade B+

Pretty good. I think it would've been better if I hadn't watched it with the English dub but that was the only option they had. The characters were well-written, and I can definitely see how Quentin Tarantino was inspired by this movie.

My favourite movie ever!

First of all, it is not a movie that appeals to everyone. If you are not familiar with Japanese movies, it may seem a bit boring and you may find serious logical errors. The genre of the movie is actually action-comedy. It also has serious drama scenes at times, but then it also includes some funny scenes,The basis of the famous computer game PUBG also comes from this movie. 7/10

this is one of the most movies to ever movie and if i see one more person suggest it gets an american remake i will actually scream
