One of, if not the worst, movies of all time. Horrible acting with even worst script and plot. I don’t think I’ve seen a worst movie in years.

Unquestionably bad, but somehow no more so than films that made far more at the box office.

I would give it 0 if I could. Terrible movie. Humans managing to fly jet planes just by playing with a simulator. Travolta looked ridiculous in his platform boots. Why wasn't the pesky human killed right off? I rented it as a video, big regret. Not worth a cent.

Genuinely puzzling - looks like a pastiche or joke - but without the satire. Total absence of reason or logic or plot.. not even a film you can enjoy on drugs - as whatever way you look at it no attempt was made by the film-makers to make what is going on on screen in any way enjoyable.

so spectacular at how bad it is that is almost ironically fun to watch just to make fun of stupid and nonsensical to the point of dispair battlefield earth based on the l ron Hubbard scientology book which I predict is better than this schlocky mess of a movie is bad without any good quallties everything is campy in the worst ways possible, from the fake and stupid looking costumes to the over the top idiotic dialogue and poorly shot and unrealistic action scenes ripping off from sci fi movie masterpieces Star Wars and independence day. this is a perfect example how not to make a movie its that bad.

This movie is probably the most boring movie that I have ever seen. The fighting scenes are the saddest fighting scenes that I have ever scene in any movie in the world. The actor don't pay their parts very well either. This is probably the lowest grossing movie on Earth.

This is a war crime. Utterly and completely appalling.

It is just bad. I watched it when it came out. 24 years later it’s still a waste of time, I take issue with the reviewer who chose to associate Star Trek with this groaner. Star Wars Phantom Menace is more appropriate.

Alien conquest and how they would view humans is a is provocative subject. I enjoyed how a hero would rally his people and outwit his advanced oppressors. Known actors, good speci effects, and moving music make Battlefield Earth a good movie.

This film is beyond redemption. If you were to see this movie on a flight (to anywhere) you'd probably be hoping the flight crew would pass out just so the aircraft would plunge into the abyss and end your misery before the opening credits ended. The storyline is preposterous to say the least, the "acting" would make a high school drama teacher cry (not in a good way), and there are so many holes in the plot as to make a Swiss fromager green with envy. After watching this film you'll regret all the negative reviews you gave to any Pauly Shore movie you ever saw.

I've watched it twice. I still can't remember the plot. What just happened.

One of my all time favorite movies. The book is even better. Its fun, fast paced and shows an epic fight for freedom through using knowledge and "leverage". The protagonist and antagonist are both epic and relatable as see Terl just want to get back to home planet after being punished for one small mistake and his motivations to use Johny the man-animal for his own personal profit and gain. Meanwhile Johny see's his chance to make a better future for his people and for his future family. In many ways the vibe is like old action flicks or shows like Hercules where there is clear battle between good and evil, freedom and tyranny and where bravery is sacrifice are necessary. The beginning is a bit rushed but plays off of western myths and sets up action to take off and keep going. The ending is a perfect fit for the movie as well as for the events that take place after wards in the book.

This movie is awful but going into to it expecting it to be bad makes it more fun and enjoyable my best friend and I quote this movie a lot
