Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe Reviews
As they blunder from crisis to crisis, stopping only to kick each other in the 'nads, their gurning idiocy proves oddly comforting for the longtime fan - although probably won't win any new converts.

Maybe I just don’t find lowbrow humor as funny as I did 30 years ago — although, The Three Stooges can still make me laugh.

Imbecilic but (mostly) harmless, Mike Judge’s creations have long epitomized adolescent boys’ horny, awkward phase. The new movie proves there’s still plenty to find funny about it

It can be said with absolute certainty that the movie is a gift to Gen X and Millennial fans, and it should be cherished for the genuine idiocy that it is.

Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe is actually quite wholesome. Despite finding innuendo in almost anything.
| Original Score: 4/5 | Dec 14, 2022
It all comes together in a ludicrous but admittedly funny stew.
| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Aug 24, 2022
This is a fast-paced, fun movie that I hope represents the first of many returns to Highland, Texas with these loveable idiots.
| Original Score: 7/10 | Aug 9, 2022
This duo of presumed idiots doesn't stop proving that, lamentably, they're needed more than ever to put in perspective the most absurd sides of society. [Full review in Spanish]

Those who take comfort in knowing that some things never change may delight in the sniggering antics of those perpetually delinquent adolescents.

There’s something so lovable and endearing about these nitwits, two boys who are too stupid to realize just how dumb they truly are. This leads to countless misadventures, all for our amusement, and this film is a hilarious continuation of their story.

It's hard to imagine how this comeback could have been any better. Heh heh heh, I said "hard."

As soon as we arrived at Johnson Space Center, I knew the magic was back.

A major blessing of a film like Beavis and Butthead Do the Universe is that it doesn’t betray its roots to fit the times. By doing so, it steadfastly seeks to prove that you can just be funny no matter where or when you are.
| Jul 16, 2022
The vulgar humour might be less subversive than it was 30 years ago, but with so many hits from that period ageing badly, it’s refreshing to see the self-destructive dweebs haven’t changed.
| Original Score: 4/5 | Jul 15, 2022
Not quite the sci-fi epic you might hope for, Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe (currently on Paramount+) is a sharp and funny exercise in mapping the limits of the human desire for nachos and sex.

There's an adage in acting that you have to be a smart actor to play dumb well and that basically sums up the creative saga of Beavis and Butt-head They always fail upward--and this time as far upward as outer space.
| Original Score: 3/4 | Jul 9, 2022
Even decades later, their brand of one-track-mind stupidity hasn’t exactly gone out of style.
| Jul 7, 2022
Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe is a delight in its vulgar pursuits.
| Jul 6, 2022
While it gets repetitive down the stretch (as Judge's stuff is prone to do) and misses some opportunities for its satirical edge, there is some biting stuff in-between the well-aged juvenile beats that fans like me can’t get enough of.
| Original Score: 3/4 | Jul 2, 2022
Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe is a completely worthy follow-up to Do America and, frankly, a frontrunner for the title of funniest movie of 2022.
