Being the Ricardos Reviews
LOVE the story, and the set it looked like the original series set. The cast took sometime to get use to, they all did good pretraying the originals too.
Nicole Kidman did an excellent job of portraying Lucille Ball. Javier Baldam was great as Desi.
Loved Nicole Kidman! Was compelling and enlightening. Have even more admiration for Lucy than before.
Story was very respectful of each Lucy and Desi. Showing their talent
So well written and delivered. Loved it!
Incredible movie!! Grew up watching all the Lucy shows!!
There was a lot going on in this movie, perhaps a bit too much. Did enjoy the performances of the lead actors and the supporting players. Also liked the costume design.
I watched I Love Lucy growing up and I thought they were both terrific.
Brilliant script Acting & insightful richly produced film Loved it !
Wonderful acting and clever writing, but ended on a sour note when we discover they got divorced at the end before the credits. Too dark and not enough comedy for a show that was all about comedy. Bardem stole the show in my opinion.
Javier Bardem got loudness and sweetness of Desi but singing bad and Nicole plays a mean Lucy. Odd choice to have real life actors like Linda Lavin play older versions of actors in.the film. Also camerawork too close in. Thanks.
For those that liked I love Lucy
Great movie! So interesting to see the story of Lucy and Ricky Ricardo during that one critical week. Bardem does a great job singing like Ricky, and it's uncanny how much Nicole Kiddman manages to look like Lucille Ball.
Great movie. Very well done
This movie gets everything right: screenplay, actors, setting, etc. This will be the first movie in ages I've gone to see twice.
Didnt like some language and sex scenes but overall felt it was done very well and Nicole Kidman playing Lucy deserves an Academy Award!
It was well done, entertaining and informative.
Great movie! Entire cast did a wonderful job and Nicole Kidman was outstanding. She looked and sounded like Lucy.
It would really help if you remember "I Love Lucy" or Lucille Ball. That being said I always enjoy behind the scenes stories from movies or television. It's insightful. Plus the movie gives us a glimpse of how we were as a country in the 50's. Great acting too.
I very much enjoyed the movie!! if you're a fan of I Love Lucy I highly recommend it!!
