Better Than Chocolate Reviews
This film is a super cute turn of the century romcom bursting with sex and lgtbq+ feel-good enthusiasm. As a coming-out story about an artist and a woman just trying to find herself (while also hiding herself from her mother), it more than meets the mark for the dopamine rushed chick flick I was looking for. I would definitely watch again just for the smiles.
Confirmed: NOT better than chocolate.
one of the most real, sex positive, honest queer films i've seen :) I can watch it again and again. It has such a variety of nuanced characters, and was a very important film for me during my my growing up years.
Highlights include lesbian sex Lowlights : punctuated with an annoying male character walking in . Harsh hatred .
not my type of movie, it started off ok but it just got progressively more boring. 1 star for the acting.
I'd like it more without the nudity. Entertaining and cute, but nothing special. I find Maggie very very pretty. :)
A rather entertaining look at coming out of the closet, but more importantly a study of censorship and the pursuit of true love. The beautiful Karyn Dwyer and Christina Cox are supported very nicely by a collection of likeable characters. A comedy with a dramatically sensitive core that just falls short of being better than chocolate.
