So many films take their q from this guy. One of the greatest comedy films ever made. Remember it was made mid 90s, perfect time for this film

The soundtrack like the movie kicks butt. The counterfeit storyline isn't very original. But the movie makes up for that with LOL moments like the training sequence of the ninjas at the beginning of the movie. And the interactions between Joey & Haru. Chris Farley & Chris Rock are comedic gold. Robin Shou's comedic timing is as sharp as his ninja skills. Nicolette Sheridan shows that she can do a comedy movie just as well as she could do drama. This is one of the few comedy movies no matter how many times you see it. It's still LOL. One part I didn't particularly like is when haru throws the satellite dish. after he throws it you can hear a screeching cat. Why do so many comedies find it necessary to have a scene with a screeching cat. It's far from funny. And it's so overdone & overplayed. Other than that I think this movie should be considered a cult classic.

This is a must see from the comedic genius Chris Farley. I don't know why the low ratings. Absolute classic!

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, chris farley é bacana como protagonista mas as piadas que ele faz força um pouco o filme, a história do filme é fraca, a maioria das cenas dele são fracas, tipo a parte que ele pega impulso no coqueiro é ruim demais, o que salvou foi as cenas de gordo dele só isso. Pir que de resto é ruim.

I watched this the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Disappointed to read about how critics gave it such poor reviews. It’s Chris Farley as a ninja… what the hell were you expecting?? Awesome movie. Five stars. Long live Chris Farley!

Me Parece que el problema de esta película, es que no tiene sentido, teniendo escenas graciosas solo por tener escenas graciosas, sin ninguna querencia para la trama que "tiene" la historia. Aunque el personaje principal es muy carismático y se hace entrañable en la película, el personaje nunca se siente uno con la película, como si hubiera dos historias, la historia de la película y la historia del personaje. Aún así si puedes apagar el cerebro e ignorar todo eso, te encontraras con una película muy tierna, con un buen mensaje y escenas cómicas bien logradas. Esta película es la típica película que ves cuando no hay nada nuevo en la tele, y aunque este lejos de ser buena película, seguramente las vas a disfrutar.

Wasted talent on cheap jokes. Far from original and painfully unfunny, the script destroyed any potential. Chris Farley and Chris Rock are decent but only in a few scenes.
