the movie is amazing with great voice actors and a amazing plot and story only thing is there is way too many twinks. where is the big buff men at normally played as the dad of some character!!

Beautiful animation though the story felt generic

It was okay for a Disney movie. Did anyone notice that the voice of Gurgi sounds like Gollums on The Lord of the Rings

I have no idea why this movie gets so much hate. It’s effing epic. This film has everything - a rag to riches tale of a young boy entrusted with a sacred mission, an evil overlord who wants to raise an army of the undead, and a clairvoyant pig, what else could you ask for! It’s visually stunning, dark and grueling, and generally a lot of fun. Although I’d say it’s not the typical disney feel good you may have come to love and expect…

Okay, for a film that nearly bankrupted the studio, it’s not as bad as you’d think… but I can partially see how that happened. Having said that, The Horned King fucking rules and I will die on that hill.

Magically made. It's a wonderful film, although the narrative does hold it back from being a timeless classic. Great characters deliver joy, scares and childish adventure. One for every family.

Great movie but I HATE GURGI HE’S STITCH BUT WAY MORE ANNOYING

One the best movies Disney ever made

Great Potential, bad result. Still it was decent and as someone who have read the books I like them more. This is also 2 books crammed into 1, which is sad. Hope some other studio gives these books the right treatment.

Too many characters. Too many subplots. Poor character development. Typical mustache-twirling villain. But I still liked Gurgi.

Different and interesting with really visibly good production quality at moments and then really poor at others. Very, very dark for a Disney movie.

Not seeing what could have been is a tragedy, but what we got isn't Disney's worst output.

This movie is an uncut gem, by that I mean, it indeed has flaws, but just needs a little polish, it was shunned by audiences that would have winced at movies like "the birds" or "Prom night" and much of the charm is lost in those types than now cast it in bad light. This movie is great and had potential to be greater if the sensitive types didnt call for cuts

You've got to love dark Disney. and this is up there with its darkest. Redolent of most of their stories with a stereotypically evil and cold antagonist, contrasted against youthful innocence and bravery on the side of the protagonists, this also seems to have been inspiration for the Sir Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings films, and seemingly a building block for Twentieth Century's Anastasia! Unfortunately, none of the Cauldron's characters are compelling or memorable, and the story isn't quite as romantic or poetic as Walt's usually are, and so it fails to hold up against the iconic movies

What is Gurgi exactly?

Disney's most underrated movie. Different and much better than other disney classics.

You can say that this is a copy of the Lord of the Rings - the hobbit boy, Sauron the horned king, the ring is pig, and Gurgi is Gollum.This is a rather strange movie. Cuteness like a chubby little pig is combined with rather creepy images of corpses, explosions, blood, and even at a conscious age it's not very pleasant to watch the movie, it's too dim and gloomy, here you have an allusion to drunkards and a harlot, then suddenly a frog will get stuck in the witch's tits, then suddenly a jump scare will jump out, and I'm silent about the presence of songs (they don't exist). The movie is neither for adults nor for children, eight screenwriters worked on it, and the fragmentation is visible.

Una muy buena peli, tiene bastantes fallas, por ejemplo, que la trama es algo predecible, o algunos personajes están solo de relleno, pero en todo lo demás, la pelicula es buenísima, tiene una excelente animación, un gran protagonista, un buen villano, y muchas cosas buenas más, le doy un 8.4/10.
