BlacKkKlansman Reviews
So moving and so compelling. It's as relevant today as the time in which the story was set. If you think history can't repeat itself, think again.
This movie is an amazing movie that ridicules the ridiculous nature of the KKK making fun of there beliefs and what they do. This movie is a much watch for all people.
Spike Lee always crafts great films. Writing, pacing, tone, cinematography, casting, direction, everything is always on a level only a master director could achieve. It's why he's one of the best filmmakers to every live. This film is no different. It's just an amazing experience. You spend the film in awe of his visual stylings, and mesmerized by the performances he pulls from his actors. This films was a joy to watch, and considering the subject matter that's a feat in of itself. It's perfectly paced, and delivers everything you would want from a filmmaker of this caliber. Then it does something that only Spike Lee can do, it ties it all to the modern age and shows you how relevant it is to current times. He's just a great filmmaker and this is just a great film. Fun, insightful, impactful, and it leaves you feeling like you've done more than simply watch a movie, you experienced history. Perfection.
Wow! Just wow! Very fascinating film with stunning acting and that scene with the speech blew me away.
Excellent acting and very clever and dramatic story with a few beats of humor that also go very far. This is definitely an important film to see given the state of our culture.
Well-made, well played, necessary and timely and yet it just didn't quite engage me. In the end, it just didn't quite know whether it wanted to be an action movie or a satire on the dumb-ass KKK. Either would have worked
excellent production and development, incredible criticism against backward thinking.
I had to check a few times if I'd been watching for over two hours as it felt so very drawn out. It had a great ensemble but no proper direction and I ended up not caring for any of the characters. I'm also surprised at the RT high scores, is it me? Am I in the wrong here? It just felt very flat as a film. Someone unusually I felt Ashlie Atkinson put in the best performance.
BlacKkKlansman masterfully blends biting satire with powerful social commentary, delivering a gripping and thought-provoking narrative that is both entertaining and deeply resonant.
Understanding the history of the Klan is intertwined with understanding American history. This film at a certain point doesn’t seem real and I think that’s the point. It’s to pull off the oblivious blanket America holds on to like a security blanket. On the overall structure of the film, it was really unique and so needed a unique execution of it. From all its glory the film hints perfectly in many ways the whole story could explode building the anticipation for the plot and theme of the film. Overall this film expresses and exposes American history. But in other words “This is some good shhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttt.”.
I’ve been a big Spike Lee fan for a long time, and he does not disappoint. Another solid entry in his body of work. Entertaining, and thought-provoking.
"BlacKkKlansman" is a fantastic and harrowing reminder of our past, mixing in absolutely fantastic acting, a great script, and a powerful message to deliver an ultimately satisfying film that gets its point across was style and fashion. The film does have some pacing issues though, especially towards the end, and I do think some of the plot elements were fairly exaggerated to really get the point across. Still, it's a very solid film that I'd highly recommend every person see at least once.
This film start a little different than what the premise says however after it the film quickly goes from meh to wow this is a great drama entertaining film with strong message to the viewer. I have to give the cast a huge props especially the supporting cast who brought to life the Klassman cult to a near perfection that it almost look like the real thing. Overall, I don't want to spoil the story neither the cast great lines and scenes, all of have to say is see it!!! for yourself.
I just chose the closest one since iv'e never watched this film so it won't change it much. I rated it because this film is very ohio sigma indeed.
Absolutely incredible film. Very chilling. Spike Lee sending a clear message and telling a great story. Whilst still keeping some of his infamous camera work.
It's surprisingly too subtle in its message at times. Not as good as I was hoping.
IT's so simple and yet so brilliant and well executed. Spyke Lee never disappoints.
Great movie. Should be shown in high school.
A fantastic movie. Americana. Must watch.
