Blade: Trinity Reviews
Could have been better but… Blade
It seems like Marvel hates the number "3" because every third film in a series always results in being the worst one. This one lacks everything the first film, even the second (despite me not liking it at all) does well. It has more action with little room for development, plot, or development, which is a formula we see in modern Marvel movies.
Terribler. David S. Goyer is not a good director. Then again, the script for this was atrocious as well. The only good parts came from Ryan Reynolds and I feel like those lines were improvised. Speaking of Reynolds, it's like this was his audition for Deadpool, he is using the same kind of humor here and I'm wondering if he was channeling the character for the character he was playing here. I missed the fun directing during the fight scenes that I had with del Toro's Blade II. This was standard, over stylized drab. Parker Posey's vampire teeth were too big, it affected her entire performance. Meh.
I enjoyed Blade: Trinity more than I thought I would. The action sequences are marginally less campy, the special effects are the best they've been in the trilogy, and Jessica Biel's Abigail Whistler is an absolute aesthetic. The dialogue does impair what is otherwise a fairly solid narrative, with humor that is too on the nose. It's not quite a five-star movie, but I honestly don't know why its ratings are as low as they are. I've seen far worse movies.
Blade was a cool concept when it came out, but I think too many elements are trying to get juggled here and they don't work together that well. Even Reynolds' tone seems less frenetic than other movies he has done. Purnell was cool, but ultimately didn't seem like that big of a threat. Snipes does his schtick well, but I don't think the Blade character was meant to have sidekicks...
Blade Trinity Is one of the best Vampire hunter movie I've ever seen and the reason Is so good it's because of Jessica Biel as Abigail Whistler. When I saw her in the costume I absolutely fell in love with her character that right now I want her to Comeback to the MCU as Abigail Whistler. I think is not fair how they critics' treated this movie just because of some rumors on set that were not true in the end because Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes didn't have any beef because Ryan called Wesley to be back as Blade in Deadpool 3. So I think this Comeback should allow Jessica Biel to return as Abigail Whistler in the new MCU movie of Blade or Blade 4. I like the effort she put intro her role I like how strong she Is AND that she Is the best Marvel female Heroine of all Time. The performance of Biel in Blade Trinity deserves and Oscar. I Will definitely recommend this movie as a so bad Is good movie like Daredevil where another character like Elektra played Jennifer Garner was able to also make a Comeback in Deadpool 3.
I really enjoyed the last installment. Awesome concept for Dracula. Good action. Shame it ended here
It would be great if there will be Blade 3. I really love the movie. Looking forward. I hope it is still possible.
The Blade Trilogy is so freaking amazing and epic and the third installment didn't disappoint at all like still one of my faves!!!!
"Blade: Trinity" earns a generous 2.5 stars. Jessica Biel's acting is abysmal, and the film feels more like a spinoff, sidelining Blade himself. The visual effects are disappointingly bad, marking a clear downgrade from its predecessors. The director seems clueless, presenting an underdeveloped plot and characters. Casting Dracula as the villain demanded a more compelling actor and story. If this was meant to be a grand finale, they should have included more Marvel characters to take down Dracula instead of relying on two lackluster sidekicks. Ryan Reynolds brings his signature humor, which I enjoyed, but it doesn't resonate with most fans. As a trilogy conclusion, it's a letdown, leaving everything feeling unfinished. Despite its flaws, I did have a good time.
Jesus lord this was a miserable waste of film. Absolutely nothing like the first two films. As a huge fan of the Blade franchise, I couldn’t have been more disappointed in this film.
Not even Ryan Reynolds' performance could even help prevent Blade's third instalment from being a disaster with very messy and chaotic editing, poor dialogue and action sequences and characters that felt rather forgettable.
Great characters and written well. Dialogue from some characters is hilarious at times.
so ass that i couldnt even finish the movie... the blade franchise was mid
I don't like blade trinity but it is so much better than Transformers 5
Come on, I've never seen a movie as bad as this, the script is terrible, the action is a disaster, rating 3
Pre MCU movies had a tough time and this film was no different not even Ryan Reynolds could save this one
Its good, I recommend it
Honestly, if this movie had rebranded as Hannibal King and the NightStalkers, maybe it would have fared better at the box office (and everywhere since). I hate that it has 24% ... because if you take out some of the "less present" actors, it's actually pretty good fun. Parker Posey absolutely slays as Danica and ... well Ryan Reynolds cuts his Deadpool teeth with Hannibal ... absolute FIRE.
