Blair Witch Reviews
In my opinion, better than the original. The original had better acting but I like that in this one they're searching for Heather.
This movie was great! I've only seen parts of The Blair Witch Project, so I can't say for certain if this matches the original, but I had so much fun watching this movie. It was terrifying and had a wildly compelling story. I definitely recommend it for horror fans!
Better than Book of Shadows but still far from great, Blair Witch is a serviceable horror film that boasts more questions with few answers about the titular witch. The found footage camera work is as expected, the performances are decent enough, and some of the effects are truly creepy.
It does a fair job story wise putting the characters in the found footage parameters and the lore of the Blair Witch but it feels very oddly paced all the way up until near the end of the second act. It has some scary parts that certainly deliver something and they do a lot of foreshadowing with the filming gimmicks to make it work, but it just feels far less terrifying than it's predesessor. It feels like it would be a better entry in the V/H/S series which plays purely on found footage limitations so your expectations are pure and simplified. This film though has the expectations of following one of the most influential films in horror that shot up the idea of found footage horror, that is is an extremely hard standard to reach.
Will one day be reevaluated as a great addition to a long dead franchise. This film should be regarded as the true sequel to the original. The crawling under the house scene was intense. And this movie gives you more Blair Witch than the original offered. I think it is one of the best found footage movies in a very long time. And if you are gonna do a sequel to a movie that’s already well played out, you might as well go big or go home. That’s what they tried to do. Was a good time.
Pretty Entertaining. I wish it had more of a 3rd Act. James and Lisa are the best characters in the film.
E repetitivo o filme do primeiro
I feel like this movie is underrated it's a pretty good movie but not as good as Blair Witch 2 Book of Shadows which is my favorite Blair Witch
This movie is ass. She needs to stop being a pussy.
All they had to do was make a solid sequel. Instead we got a convoluted mess with no answers.
To anyone who is reading this. i have no comment about this movie, i just found it on tubi today and decided to watch it, and it was ok. But would i watch it again? Probably not until I see the original and the sequel first. But overall it was ok
Poor execution for a found footage/Blair Witch Project follow up. Some of the throw backs were nice and the twist with time shifting was ok. Too many glaring mistakes for me. The pov cams diluted the realism due to the perfectly smooth, centered shots. Also, if you watch closely, at times either hair or a hand should be COMPLETELY covering the lens on the ear camera but the view still looks perfect when we see that camera shot. Not to mention, after big falls, getting thown around and rolling all over... the ear cam never falls out once. However, when glitches are needed, somehow the cameras malfuction at the perfect time. Again, the realism was lost completely if I am to believe these people are stuck out in the woods for days by the prestine make up and hair. Some of the acting was overdramatic at times, which once again, took me out of believing this is "found footage" and reminds me it is a scripted film, as did the score and sound fx underneath the "found footage" video.
OMG THE BlAIR WITCH IS SO BEAUTIFUL I'M IN LOVE. HER EYES... <3 MARRY ME BLAIR WITCH!
le film a un cote sympa qui n'est pas dans le 1 , le fait de mettre une sorcière ma beaucoup surpris ,moi qui n'est pas un grand fan du premier j'ai trouve celui la sans plus
#MovieReview #BlairWitch #Netflix The 2016 installment of Blair Witch fell short of expectations, failing to revive the franchise effectively. While not the worst entry in the series, it lacked the excitement and originality needed to captivate viewers. The decision to continue the found-footage style with a video camera in a life-threatening situation felt contrived and unrealistic, diminishing the suspense that made the original so impactful. Available on Netflix, this film may disappoint fans of the cult classic Blair Witch Project. It missed the mark in capturing the essence and fear of the Blair Witch, instead contributing to a string of lackluster sequels that diluted the franchise's legacy. In contrast, the 1999 Blair Witch Project succeeded in creating an unsettling atmosphere through its use of found footage, sparking fear and leaving viewers questioning the reality of the events depicted. The original film's actors and actresses played their roles convincingly, adding to the illusion of reality and instilling fear in viewers. However, subsequent installments, particularly the second film, veered into cheesy and unreliable territory, losing the supernatural suspense that made the original so effective. Overall, the mishandling of the Blair Witch franchise post the original film led to a decline in fear factor and quality. Subpar adaptations failed to recapture the chilling essence of the first movie, ultimately diluting the impact of the Blair Witch myth and diminishing the franchise's reputation in the horror genre.
Horrible annoying jump-scares galore in a generic cash grab, inferior in every way to the masterful original.
More disappointing that anything else. Wingard wisely embraces the fact that these characters would use new technology like drones to film and there are a few tense sequences but for the most part the horror has no weight. Whatever complaints or problems people have with the original "Blair Witch", you always shared the characters dread.
This movie had such potential to be good, but blew it.
Pretty decent sequel. I liked the cast , they worked really well together. But the last 25 minutes is actually really good. That house is one of the best haunted houses in any movie
This seems to be a direct sequel to the first movie, but it doesn't line up to the first. There was no Scooby-Doo run through the cabin in the first movie. We never even see Heather's face after she enters the cabin. Plus, the cabin vanished but that ONE tape appeared. When the first movie said the whole movie was found and sent, somehow. It doesn't answer any of the questions I had and still have about the first movie, in fact it makes the first movie makes even less sense than it did before, if that was possible. Plus, we get to see the ghost Blair Witch this time and I'm sorry to say it was better when we didn't see it, since she looked like a rejected ghost from "The Real Ghostbusters", just I think naked, it's hard to get a good look at her. At the time of writing this review this is the last and with not the money pile the first movie was, I am hoping it remains the last one.
