The Blair Witch Project Reviews
Great movie. Don't see anything though. It was Josh not a witch. The Blair Josh project.
A lo-fi horror landmark that still crawls under your skin—The Blair Witch Project thrives on ambiguity and raw fear. Its found-footage style feels authentic, even when the pacing drags. Heathers final monologue hits hard, and the atmosphere lingers long after the credits. Watching it with ad breaks ruined the mood—this one demands silence, darkness, and no interruptions. Let the unease build.
not a bad found footage film, could have added a few scares but for the time it was produced its not the worst, wouldn't watch again.
Bone chillingly suspenseful with a robust, dynamic plot and fantastic acting, this thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The worst 80 minutes of my life. Absolutely nothing of value happens. This isn't a horror movie but rather a drama movie with how much arguing there is between the three people in the movie. Nothing actually scary happens other than just some noises and weird witchcraft stuff appears in some places. 0/5 definetly can't recommend
Best found footage movie ever...masterpiece
this changed horror forever, it is no easy feat to make a low budget look perfectly right
The found footage horror movie that started it all.
I 💩 my pants watching this. it is actually scary.
I saw this movie in the theaters when it came out and I still, to this day, have no idea why people like it. I was absolutely bored while watching it and could not wait for it to be over since all it was accomplishing was to make me feel nauseous from the shaky cam. It's not scary, the characters are denser that a neutron star, and the best part was when they all never made it back.
This movie is so bad I am writing my first review. Wish I could go back in time and do something useful with those minutes
Just brilliant. No one will ever be able to capture what this film achieved. The realness, the pr, the lore. The Blair Witch Project is my favorite film of all time and I will defend it to the death
Was this supposed to be scary in 1999? Maybe it was for a different time. It was a little creepy at times but I just couldn’t with the ending. At least show me a witch killing someone or something.
My favorite found footage film but other than that i'm not a found footage fan
It really does an incredible job of making it seem like it all happened. The acting was incredible. I loved the eeriness of the whole film. Felt like the perfect amount of scary. If you're going to watch a movie like this make sure you're watching with at least one other person. Also make sure it's nighttime and you don't have any lights on. If you don't do this it won't be nearly as scary. The extra person is so you don't get too scared.
Even until this day I keep wondering why there were so many eager moviegoers waiting in line to see this garbage!
Sue me but I hated this movie, the acting is bad, the plot is boring, not scary. Didn’t impact me the way it seemed to have impacted others, the ending was definitely very half-arsed and I don’t care about it’s low budget, it could’ve been way better for a found footage. Anywayssss, the good thing is the unique plot, for 1999 the plot was pretty good and for 1999 this was scary AF! But it’s not 1999 and from a 2024 perspective, I hated it.
absolutely terrifying if youre paying attention the whole time would recomend to watch with lights off
Idk why this has such a low rating. This is a great movie. It's extremely intriguing. The way they deal with the witch and the unknown. Really fun movie. One of my very favorites. Highly recommend.
If you go by what the critics say, you'll end up watching a lot of bad movies. Audience said it best.
