Blast From the Past Reviews
This is in our library of movies and my wife and I love to watch it every once in a while. There’s humor all throughout and I think the chemistry between Silverstone and Fraser is great. And who doesn’t enjoy watching Christopher Walken in a funny and quirky role??
I absolutely loved Blast from the Past! It’s one of those movies that just leaves you feeling warm and happy. Brendan Fraser is fantastic in this; he nails the charm and innocence of Adam, making him such a lovable character. And Christopher Walken? He’s just brilliant as always—he brings so much personality to the role, balancing his quirky and serious sides perfectly. Honestly, both of them were spot-on and made the movie so enjoyable. The story, while completely ridiculous, is part of what makes it so fun. It’s not trying to be overly realistic, and that’s okay because the movie embraces its silliness in the best way. Despite the crazy premise, the script actually works—it’s lighthearted, funny, and has just the right amount of emotional depth to keep you invested. It’s definitely one of those feel-good films you can watch again and again. Sure, it’s a bit out there, but that’s part of its charm. If you’re looking for something heartwarming and entertaining, this movie hits all the right notes.
Light hearted and entertaining movie. Doesn't need a ton of bells and whistles. Christopher Walken's performance is spectacular. For someone who grew up with "duck and cover" drills in elementary school it was very poineint.
Completamente apaixonante, fofo e cativante… Delicinha...
It was a really good movie. Very instructive. I really liked it. I will watch it again later. Also, I really like the small details of the movie.
The love affair between the spies is strong and melodious
fake nuclear bomb= true love❤
Feelgood 90s movie, some slapstick comedy, enjoyable premise. Movie doesn't take itself serious but if you're not looking for an Oscar worthy flick this is a great evening movie.
Underrated movie with a kinda sweet storyline, a man stuck in a bomb shelter underground all his life, has to adjust to the outside world while tries to find love.
What do you expect? It's a rom-com with a humorous scenario, and that's what you get. There's no real climax, but the movie is consistently and passably entertaining.
This is a classic that truly holds up as time goes on. This is movie I will always come back to and watch.
this was such a sweet movie from what i rememeber
People blast it for not being consistently funny; I don't think it's trying to be. It's a sort of absurd and cute romantic movie that happens to also be funny.
Great movie. They had an original idea and portrayed it well. I found it very funny and fun to watch. Good actors.
just a nice sweet 90s movie
This movie has aged like fine wine. It is absolutely consistent from start to finish, has a great plot arc and Christopher Walken, hello! Sissy Spacek! Brendan Fraser and Alicia Silverstone! A great dance scene and very accurate depictions of the early sixties, and that hilarious bit bringing us forward through time that included the initial "Barry White" moment that was EXACTLY how it went down for all of us. If you don't get the humor, it's because you weren't there. I'd like to thank the magnificent producer, Mary Kane, for bringing it all together. Should have a larger audience and definitely a higher rater.
This gave me the biggest crush and Brandon Fraser! Love this movie! So sweet xx
One of my favorite movies of all time. The charm of this movie is great and my person favorite Brendan Frasier role. I watched this movie with my mother so it gives me that connection to this film and how much I truly care and love this film.
With a clever logline and title, Blast from the Past has immediate appeal. Brendan Fraser's acting style is perfect for the role and the rest of the performances were memorable. Where this film really shines is that it took an absurd concept and made it believable. Though a bit silly at times, there were also moments with real heart and emotional pull. From start to finish, this movie was highly entertaining and I loved the ending. Additional Note: The sunrise scene from the hotel room was a subtle, yet gorgeous moment.
My favourite Brendan Fraser movie. Well done, original, funny, Alicia Silverstone in her prime with a killer 90's soundtrack. Should rate higher on RT.
