LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 43 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! Available in R-rated and Extended Cut versions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watching it the other day, certain familiar scenes told me I had seen this many years ago. But watching it now, so long after, it's amazing to look back on these artists at this moment in time when we had no idea what was to come for many of them.
Michel Gondry (Tokyo!, Human Nature) most down to earth movie with great music performances and Dave Chappelle's charming personality to make it a fun watch
What comedy used to be is now back! Dave Chapelle is a comedic genius with an excellent grasp on reality vs. what the PC culture wants us to believe. A must watch!
Must Watch! Brilliantly Funny! Dave Still The Man! Had Me in Stitch's, The Truth is a Magical Thing! Funny HaHa Again, Must Watch!
Michel Gondry's documentary centring on the preparation and proceedings of the titular party plays like an extended music video of live performances from the likes of The Fugees, Jill Scott and Erykah Badu bestrewed with screwball comic relief and extemporaneous banter.
Best concert film I know and I've seen them all. Celebration of African American music and wit benevolently hosted by the guy on the marquee.
If it weren't for director, Michel Gondry's interwoven, often honest and/or funny, behind-the-scenes moments this would be a lot less entertaining and a lot more of just a rap concert movie. It's Dave Chappelle movie, but he isn't much of the star. Rating: 6 / 10
