é muito bom o filme ,o final é incrivel.
É incrível mia esta ótima
a beautiful watch. Somewhat slow and dreamy but if you want to view Australian land and seascapes at its best make the effort to watch from beginning to end. As an Eric Bana fan he can never do anything wrong as far as I am concerned. Great performances by all. a few holes in the storyline but who cares when you are viewing scenery that wows
Loved this movie! Loved the power of Abby and Dora following their passions and supporting the marine world. Fantastic heroism and wonderful story telling!!
i think the movie was dog shit and i would not recommend watching it
This movie was absolutely dog and no one should watch this crap of a movie
Being Perth born and raised and having holidayed in Bremer Bay and WA's SW many times as a kid probably makes me a little biased here but I digress. Scenery is beautiful, story is simple yet well played out, acting is on point. Bit of a nostalgia trip for this viewer but Winton's stories always seem to evoke a feeling of familiarity and nostalgia which I find endearing. Another beautifully made movie showcasing Western Australia.
Beautiful locations, amazingly acted, a sweet drama that had to pay the cost of its time muddling screenplay. Linear storytelling would have worked much better for this plot, and direction & cinematography should've done more to observe the beauty of the scenes; there was a lot, yet a lot left to be desired. Liked it overall, though, I mean how not to with Blueback and Abby's bond being the best part of the movie. Also, shoutout to the makeup department for their great work.
Heartfelt and gorgeous with touching mother and daughter interactions - plus wonderful interspecies connection. Beautiful ocean photography and music with fine acting from all involved. Definitely a family film that can appeal to adults and to children. A positive message about preserving our oceans.
I have enjoyed previous Tim Winton book adaptations for the screen, but BLUEBACK is disappointing. While the film stays true to the book's messages of environmentalism and empowerment, it took too long to get there and didn't offer a deep enough story to keep me invested. BLUEBACK follows the journey of a young girl, Abby (Mia Wasikowska), who discovers a wild blue grouper while diving and is inspired to take action towards preserving Australia's coral reefs from destruction. She becomes an enthusiastic crusader for protecting the delicate ecosystem and its inhabitants. The visuals are stunning, with beautiful shots of the ocean and its creatures, but they don't make up for the simplistic narrative. The movie focuses heavily on Abby and Dora's relationship, yet there is not enough development or depth to it. There could have been more exploration of the other characters who play significant roles in the story. BLUEBACK failed to make an impression on me with its lack of narrative complexity. While its messages of environmentalism and empowerment will appeal to some viewers, its slow pacing and lack of story make it an overall underwhelming experience.
