Absolutely hilarious musical comedy of the 80's with great cast and surprising musical cameos and really incredible car chase and car stunts and best quotes of all time.

"We're on a mission from God" Has some scattered moments of brilliance, mostly in its musical sections. My guess is for most people is, and definitely for me, that if were asked how many car chase scenes are in this movie your guess would be short be about 7+ cause it feels like half the movie is car chases.

Always wanted to see this but never got around to it. Great cast and some awesome dry humor. The car chases are amazing in a very 80s way.

Scene after scene of pointless drivel. Nothing engaging, interesting, or funny, ever happens. It's like a bizarre dream. Uncomfortably benign. Impossible to relate to any of the characters. Just a weird, prolonged, acting out of essentially nothing except a couple of guys wearing trademark sunglasses and hats.

Was a very funny/entertaining film, only reason it didn't get a higher score is because I hate musical movies in general.

filme bacana, gostei do blues brothers, o roteiro as vezes parece confuso, tinha uma mulher querendo matar os dois dando bazucada, explodindo o telefone e eles não davam bola para isso, não tem sentindo, e ainda na parte da perseguição quando eles estão indo para o final da estrada, alguns nazistas vão atrás deles, mas quando os blues brothers estão prestes a cair e conseguem escapar e eles dao volta e conseguem pulam por cima dos carros dos nazistas do nada sem sentindo algum, e ainda os nazistas caem no final da estrada, mas o carro dos nazistas flutuam e depois o carro pegou uma altitude alta e depois o carro cai no meio da estrada num foda se qualquer. o filme tem um pouco de musical com crime com ação, mas é bacana.

An amazing absurdist comedy, with a great soundtrack and surprisingly good cinematographym

I absolutely adore this movie. It is so funny and has so many quotable lines. Belushi and Ackroyd are comedic geniuses. It is a top ten fave for me.

Deserves a high rating just for its amazing parade of great soul artists.

This movie was my introduction to the amazing world of Blues! The Blues Brothers is a blues and soul revue band founded in 1978 by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi and found their way on the big screen. With great castings such as Cab Calloway, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, John Lee Hooker, Carrie Fisher, John Candy, and so many others this movie makes it a musical classic! After all, they are on a mission from God!!

Just watched this film again after many decades and it’s actually better today in my opinion. Contrary to many reviews, it’s not over the top and it’s not too long. The editing was actually very good as there is so much action in just over 2 hours the film flows sequentially from scene to scene. It’s good to remember that this is an Art film at its core, so prepare yourself for the surreal qualities and zany comedy!

Loved the blues brothers since childhood, great songs, ridiculous but hilarious humor and the driving scene at the end mesmerises. Real 80's classic.

10% rating ... Ridiculously over-the-top antics that fell flat on comedy. Didn't care for the musical parts either. I thought this was an overrated comedy film

Not the best plot coupled to goofy acting, but an absolute must-see for any lover of African-American music.
