Bohemian Rhapsody Reviews
Thats the sweatiest and warm the audience ever got . You could feel the warmth.
An absolute banger of a biography film! I’m not a huge Queen fan but god dang it this movie ROCKS!
Good look to Freddie Mercury life, just the movie in some times is boring, but absolutely enjoyable
I often get wrapped up in the hype of a film myself. So I can't place too much Judgement. But I saw this in theaters and even then I found myself wondering why everyone was freaking out about this film. Pretty much just a run of the mill standard clichéd biopic of Freddie Mercury in which Rami Malek who is usually amazing doesn't even do his own singing. So an Oscar for essentially doing a mid level Freddie Mercury impression and looking like him? Nah. Then the overwhelming success of this meant years of more bland and uninteresting biopics.
Biopics should be accurate to the subject the movie is about, this isn’t.
So gut umgesetzt, schon mehrfach im Kino gesehen. Am ersten Tag zwei mal. Als Queen Fan ein MUSS!
A very well put together film with bits of amazing accuracy and other not so much but on the whole acting is great all round with the stand out of course being rami malek. It does focus to heavily on points and not on other creating the in balance and pacing issues. But still a great watch
About as good a rock biopic can get. A great mix of storytelling and music with a perfect balance of drama and realism. No one can channel a legend completely but Rami Malik was as good as it gets. Great cinematography and acting with lots of inspiring highlights overcoming the tragedy of AIDS and the burdens of fame and fortune.
Bohemian Rhapsody turned out to be a safe play family-friendly biopic of course supervised by the remaining members of Queen and as a massive Queen fan, it was challenging for me to embrace this biopic. I yearned for an authentic and extreme depiction of Freddie Mercury’s life, considering his legendary energy and wild parties. Rami Malik’s enthusiastic and captivating performance stood out as the film’s highlight, and his portrayal truly warranted his Oscar victory. The film also captured the essence of the Queen band’s career, providing a satisfying experience for Queen fans who could rock it. Grading: C+
Nice movie......!!!!!
university of evansville magic, very good
One of the blandest, most boring biopics I've ever seen. No drama. Pointless scenes that do nothing for the plot. An overly safe, predictable, and boring look at one of the most dynamic singers of the modern era.
The story is tremendous, the lighting is wonderful and scenes and shots are memorable.
A great film showing just an overview of the very interesting life led by Freddie Mercury. The acting was spot on and overall a very enjoyable experience. However I would have preferred a less rushed ending as I was shocked when the film ended as it felt like it was missing a bigger performance. Although overall would highly recommend.
A frustrating mixed bag of a musical biopic that feels grand to capturing the huge momentum that Queen pioneered with its entertaining musical scenes, but manipulates so many crucial details and fabricates so many plot points for the sake of cheap drama that makes the movie come across as unintentionally (or intentionally for all we know) homophobic & condescending to Freddy Mercury's personal life. Like how Queen never broke up, Freddy wasn't even the first band member to release their own single. Or how conveniently the rest of the band members never partake in any rowdy party sex, drinking, or drugs. Nope, they just shook their heads next to their wholesome heterosexual wives while Freddy is the sole degenerate. Freddy's relationship with his first girlfriend also feels manipulative, even though they remained close friends even after Freddy had to pause it to come to terms with his sexuality. Not to mention Queen already knew about Freddy's HIV before Live-Aid and they were still together by the time the concert began. Despite all these frustrating complaints, the movie is still very entertaining, with solid acting and highlights of the best songs of such a legendary band. It's just a shame that one of the best rock bands of all time didn't get a better script or director.
