This movie was excellent. Great acting, intriguing true crime story, smart dialogue. I am shocked that the reviews aren't higher!

Good perfomance from Keira Knightly. Directing and story is mildly suspenseful. It was decent, nothing to rave over or breaking new ground.

The ‘Cagney & Licey’ approach to start was refreshing, and an interesting take on one of the most infamous serial killers in history that really hasn’t gotten enough attention from the film industry for such a fascinating story. This story does fade a bit in the middle but picks back up for the final acts as Boston’s long line of shady coverups continues.

I came late to this movie, but I really loved it. Fascinating story and it totally brings you back to a different time. Highly recommend.

By many standards, "Boston Strangler" is a fine movie. And yet, because of a cruel lack of depth, it only comes off as dull and boring.

It's SO straightforward that it doesn't do the terror of the time justice. Knightley and Coon are great leads, but the family backstories don't eat at you like they were meant to (especially for the time).

I thought the movie had a great script, suspense, interesting characters, and moved right along! So I'd give it five out of five stars!

This movie was great and stuck to a lot of the facts and not over exaggerating to many things. Some of these reviews make me wonder if they were Boston police back in the day.

Esta ya es la cuarta película sobre el misterioso caso del estrangulador, pero narrada desde la perspectiva de una periodista que alcanzaría un grado de fama años después. La película es una historia de suspenso bastante decente con un guion impecable. La producción es respetable por respetar muy bien la época y ofrecer un buen ambiente de película neo-noir. Vemos a la periodista haciendo lo posible por tratar de resolver los misteriosos crímenes. La película juega bastante bien con el misterio y toda la investigación que se va desarrollando. Aquí la película hace algo que la versión de Tony Curtis jamás ha mencionado y que la versión 2008 ha dado ciertas pistas. Por mucho tiempo, Albert De Salvo ha sido considerado culpable de todos los crímenes relacionados con el estrangulamiento a varias mujeres, pero el caso pareció ser mucho más complejo de lo que se creía. Albert no era el único sospechoso y la película toma eso en cuenta haciendo que surja la duda de que si los crímenes fueron cometidos por un solo individuo. Esta película del estrangulador de Boston es una pieza más del rompecabezas sobre este caso y al juntarla con sus predecesoras, deja en claro que este caso sigue siendo todo un misterio porque no se sabe a ciencia cierta si Albert De Salvo actuó solo o en compañía. Mi calificación final para esta película es un 8/10.

It’s an interesting movie. Worth watching.

Perhaps the low ratings are due to the age of the viewer. At my age the Boston Strangler was a major story. I found this movie enlightening on the facts and well-acted.

Kiera Knightly will always have my attention but the subliminal feminism message came through too often when it warranted more action. The plot twists only kept me guessing for about half way through.

A real, unsolved case for the police themselves who couldn't do their job cleanly, instead, a reporter who stood out with her colleague managed to solve it. However, due to the law and money involved, they were never vindicated for what they investigated. It's worth watching as it reflects something that happens and will continue to happen in today's world.
