The Bourne Ultimatum Reviews
Classic. This is how you do a action movie.
Compared to all the Bourne entries, Ultimatum is by far, the most exciting and tightly executed of them all.
Great, gripping and thrilling
Amazing end and even better screenplay. This film has some very memorable scenes that feels fresh and captivating. It’s an emotional rollercoaster let’s leave it at that.
An awsome end to a trilogy
"Bourne Ultimatum" is a rollercoaster ride of a movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat, even if it doesn't quite reach the heights of its predecessors. While it's undeniably the best of the Bourne trilogy, it still falls short of earning a full five stars. Matt Damon reprises his role as the enigmatic and relentless Jason Bourne, and his performance is as electrifying as ever. The action sequences are mind-blowing, from the heart-pounding chase scenes through the bustling streets of Tangier to the brutal hand-to-hand combat in the heart of New York City. However, the plot, while intriguing, feels a bit convoluted at times, leaving you scratching your head instead of fully immersed in the story. The film's frenetic pacing can also be exhausting, making it hard to catch your breath. In the end, "Bourne Ultimatum" is a solid addition to the franchise, offering thrills and suspense, but it doesn't quite reach the perfection of its predecessors. If you're a fan of action-packed spy thrillers, it's definitely worth a watch, but don't expect it to surpass the classics of the genre.
Even though this has never been my favorite movie of this franchise and I think its a bit overrated but still it's a well shot, directed and acted movie.
Bourne continues his journey in this movie. Once again proving his intelligence each step of the way. This movie has some of the most memorable scenes from the beginning with him meeting Ross to the fight with Desh. One of the best endings to a movie where more is to come from this spectacular character.
the best of the trilogy
Over 15 years old; At the time this was the best of the three; love Paul Greengrass' direction and Matt Damon bring more realism to the character in a tangible reality, it also made him more in demand as a big actor and had him pursue more daring projects Still finds a way to be mature in its storytelling while also being intelligent for the action-spy genre Taking place after the second film Jason Bourne is finally one step closer to finding the answers to his past He runs again into Nikki Parsons, the logistics analyst assigned to him while CIA director Pamela Landy stumbles upon Operation Blackbriar tracking Bourne’s movements Noah Vosen is willing to hunt him down and take him out lest he expose the true nature of the program being the umbrella for all the government’s black ops All this traces back to New York City where Bourne became who he is and why It's cool Bourne manages to finally get clarity over his past, even if he doesn't quite get the answers he was looking or hoping for The trilogy's interpretation works as commentary on American policy in the wake of 9/11 It also leans on how surveillance, a hot topic in the wake of the September 11 attacks, was often depicted as antagonistic The serious tone works not to mention the balsy approach talking about the CIA's misuse of power or the consequences of rampant surveillance Great supporting players by David Straithrn and Albert Hirsch and as usual Julia Stiles and Joan Allen Love how the excitement shifts all over from Madrid to Tangier to London to the big apple Better action, exciting thrills, expert camerawork, top-notch editing, the best acted from Damon at this point, and it serves as a satisfying (if temporary) conclusion to this series I'm glad they made 2 more sequels after this showing that Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass work wonders together having made a believable Bond-esque hero for this age while keeping high level corruption and modern politics in check
The Bourne Ultimatum sees Paul Greengrass expertly developing his filmmaking skills from Supremacy, and with the high level of palpable tension, a multifaceted story that breathes intrigue, some incredibly exciting action-sequences and its stellar performances, it makes The Bourne Ultimatum the best entry of the original Bourne trilogy and an essential action-thriller, even though a few, small things about its ending could have been refined a tad.
A good sequel that doesn't live up to the original. The handheld cinematography is certainly interesting and works with the action sequences.
An excellent end to the trilogy, with more action, more tension, and a relief that our character is now complete.
Great action, great series of movies
The best sound mixing ever done in a movie!
The movie had two missions: tie the dots and create new obstacles for Jason Bourne. He did it and today we have here the best action movie competing with Mission: Impossible - Fallout.
love all three absolutely fantastic movies
There is something magical about these movies. It's like a Disney mixup with James Bond.
