Bull Reviews
A really solid, dark and gritty british film made with some artistic flair, something you don't expect from low budget british films but the director shines here adding something abit different to the revenge tale, Whilst the end reveal was interesting it didn't add much for me overall the film was great and Neil Maskell shines, this man needs to get more work!
Dark, sullen, weird and violent - I certainly enjoyed it - clever storytelling.
Absolutely superb! Blood and gore, British gangster with a surprise turn, fantastic!
A gritty British crime drama which has great twist at the end. A solid watch.
Great film with quite a bit of cringe worthy violence. It reminded me in many ways of the brilliant film ‘Dead Man’s Shoes’ starring Paddy Consadine who returns to his hometown to avenge his brother. Another great watch. You can’t beat a good old British revenge thriller with great acting and Bull certainly ticks a lot of the boxes.
Just finished watching this film, one word to sum it up.. intense! Best British gangster film in years
Fresh! Wow. This film is so clever and thoughtful.
No shortage of violence and the timeline jumped around a lot meaning it was bit confusing as to what was going on at points. The ending was just weird.
Such a good no-frills, revenge-in-the-life-of-a-crime-family action thriller, it is easy to forgive the action over substance script. Said action is fierce, the pursuit of foes fiercer, and the main character's retribution absolute. It's well-acted, quickly grabs you, and seems to end just as fast. An unexpected gem
Very watchable, good script for storyline, .great acting
This film really does not have anything going for it - its just time wasted. If you want to see Maskell being violent see the excellent "Kill List" by Ben Wheatley. If you want to see a british revenge film see the excellent "Dead Mens Shoes" by Shane Meadows. Honestly I love films but this was garbage - avoid.
They forgot to add the word Sh*t after the main title. Utter rubbish, bargain bin English gangster flick with a twist at the end that doesn't really add anything to the movie.
The movie was really well made but was let down by the ending. Good performances but felt very formulaic to usual British gang movies. I would give it a watch if you enjoyed the superior Dead Man Shoes. The ending itself is 1 star dragging the overall score of this down to 3 - with a better ending this would be 4 stars. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Spoiler alert - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The ending is ridiculous. I'm sure they thought it would be a great twist, but it didn't fit the tone of the movie. Felt like a wasted 90mins having to sit through that deus ex machina ending of him being a demon, no explanation, no nothing. I guess they tried to do a version of the Crow but didn't come off as they hadn't built up to it. A twist for twist sake in an otherwise good movie.
Great British crime drama with an amazing twist
This one goes to the critics, who have recognized the cult-like brilliance of this film. Audience needs to catch up big time. What this world needed was an anti-hero and Bull delivers perfectly. Do we root for him or not? The ending is brilliant.
Why this movie has such a high rating beggars belief. Utter dross. Good job Im a connoisseur of Utter dross. Added to my dross collection.. At the very bottom I may add..
Dark violent and generic
It's like Ricky Gervais goes postal. As mean and hard a revenge movie as you'll find.
Unapologetically grim, but not without panache. A British revenge thriller done very well, with something else entirely going on too.
