Burnt Reviews

Yes please, another movie with everything that is wrong about them: a random romance that shouldn't exist, many characters that are there and not developed for some reason and the forced happy ending.

After being a Michelin chef for 30+ years I cannot think of any other movie that captures that experience as well as this movie does. If you are interested in a cinematic masterpiece on par with Deer Hunter or Sunset Boulevard that critics drool over and put on a pedestal, then this is not that. But if you are interested in what the world of a top flight Michelin chef is like (not a reality 온라인카지노추천 show) translated to cinema, then this movie captures it very well.

Movie critics are like paper straws, sure they look good on paper but they're incredibly useless in the grand scheme of things. Ignore them, they're snobs and clearly delusional. One of my favorite movies in some time. Go touch some grass if you didn't enjoy this feel good redemption story.

All the top critics gave it low scores because apparently the story has been done before. It's a good movie, critics just watch too many movies.

Its not nearly as bad as critics say, not half as bad.

Great film- very watchable and lovely . If you’re a foodie and have some idea of chefs and kitchens and how hard they work and how creative they are then i think you’ll enjoy it!

Fantastic movie, acting and beautiful cinematography that gives an authentic view into the life of high pressure kitchens and those pursuing the perfection among the ranks of 3 star Michelin chefs. I find it interesting that the majority of negative reviews for this film come from people that have no concept of what high-pressure kitchens and their atmospheres can be like and they felt it was unrealistic when it is quite the opposite. This movie is beautiful and chaotic, with betrayal, love and growth.

This is an absolute brilliant movie. Great acting, realistic scenes and great tempo. I highly recommend it!!

If you have ever worked in a kitchen professionally this movie is a home run. If you are a keyboard warrior for a living you probably hated it. As a professional chef there are so many real moments in this movie. It's a movie you can watch over and over again.

I didn't check Rotten Tomatoes until halfway through the movie just because I became curious, and I was so surprised to see how low the critic and popcornometer scores were. I thought this movie was absolutely fantastic, so well casted and performed. Still a little confused why the scores are so low, watch it and find out for yourself

So underrated this movie “top critics” are based on the food time - it’s a movie not a really restaurant. Good watch, nice romantic restaurant movie. Watched it on the plain (was excited to fly back and finish it)

Bradley Cooper plays an unlikeable, egotistical and macho chef in a too predictable drama/romance/comedy that just nearly manages to be entertaining.

Meh - really sums it up. It wasn't anything special. I'd rather not have wathced it, but I don't feal cheated.

This movie is exactly what you expect it to be. A guy who is basically very talented but eccentric tries to get back on the horse and conquer the world, chef wise. I like the movie and the fact that it shows the stressful environment within the kitchen.

One of my favourite films. Love it. Great acting and story. Bradley Cooper’s performance is, as always, amazing. I would definitely recommend watching this film. Don’t pay attention t9 the poor ratings. I would also recommend you watch the film The Chef.

If you never care about the lead character, it's hard to stay engaged in a movie, yes? This Jones guy is a total douche. We see it throughout the film, thinking he's God's gift to humanity because he can make a plate of bacon with a dandelion and sell it for 80 British Pounds. In the past, as we learn, he was a pr**k to his colleagues and in the present, nothing has changed except I suppose we should feel some empathy because he has become sober. I did not. First off, who cares about super high end restaurants except a very small subsection of society who enjoy eating in a sterile environment and paying $100 for a cube of pork (teaspoon of mashed potatoes sold separately)? Are there really people who allow these arrogant self absorbed self righteous chefs to wipe their butts with their hair and then thank them for such a privilege? If we are to believe this movie, there are. Gross. If this is accurate, it's a sad element of society for sure. I worked in restaurants and as a server, had two 'chefs' go off on me because they were frustrated and in both cases I left the job. It just wasn't worth being treated like dirt because a guy could cook a decent meal but couldn't act civilly under pressure. By the end of this movie, which I only completed out of having absolutely nothing else to do (except get ready for bed), I was so filled with disdain for this guy, I had to ask myself 'why bother showcasing this crap in a movie?'. I asked my girlfriend why the girl chef would fall for such a douche and she said, to some women, the prospect of changing a man for the better is an addictive drug. Yes, of course, I thought. I forgot about that. Made me wonder what the equivalent is for men when drawn to a nut case hot chick. Why stay with her, with all the wasted hours in emotional drama? But then it hit me... that a**! So I guess by the end, I had a little insight into the whole mess.

Honestly one of the worst movies ever, the dialogue was horribly written I can tell this comes for a nepo baby. Talentless writer; stick to acting. Waste of an hour of my life on something worst then basic. DONT RECOMMEND. THIS MOVIE SHOULD DELETED FROM EXCISTENCE.

Shot well, but ultimately failed to show up when it mattered. This feel-good film made me feel like I wasted a couple hours.

A pretty accessible premise to begin with, and the type of feel good story I normally enjoy. But, our main character, played by cooper, is at times too unlikeable and is really the villain in his own redemption story. Not like that’s a new concept, but it does kind of force the movie to have to drum up some contrived challenges along the way since there’s not a true villain/opposition to challenge or push him. Also, the movie was super on the nose with the dialogue at times. For example, the movie starts off with a voiceover where Cooper just tells the audience his whole backstory while shucking oysters. Then he gets his old crew back together, but they are all pissed at him… how much more interesting would it have been to just see him shucking oysters, quit, then meet up with all these people who hate him for some reason?

Feels like a redemption the very early setting of this movie, big fan of Bradley Coopers work and this is no exception. Great movie.
