Cars 3 Reviews
Cars 3 is every sports movie you’ve ever seen.

Cars 3 has a well-worn, delivers-what's-expected quality that lacks vitality.
| Original Score: 2.5/4 | Mar 23, 2022
The Cars films are the Arnold Palmer of the Pixar universe there is nothing overtly clever, revolutionary or daring about mixing sweet tea and lemonade, but the beverage goes down like a song as long as you dont mess up the batch.

I was happy to find that Cars 3 was really the movie that Cars 2 should have been. If your kids liked the original Cars, they will enjoy Cars 3.

Brings much of what you expect from Pixar but seems to have left its heart at the junkyard.
| Original Score: 2/5 | Mar 1, 2021
Cars 3 is about as good as an old clunker. There's a history there, it might get you from point A to B, but in the end, your left with a movie that ran out of gas a long time ago.

This third entry embraces all of the same notions that made the first film such a bland affair.
| Original Score: 5/10 | Dec 5, 2020
Cars 3 offers a rare twist ending for a Pixar movie, one I failed to see coming. I guess old cars can learn new tricks.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Feb 5, 2020
Kids and parents alike will find lots of great messages about following dreams, goals, roots, and wings.

Fans of the franchise will be relieved...

Overall I really like Cars 3 a ton. It has a lot of heart and deals with age, sports and even women in athletics, especially racing very well. I think it's a solid release and hopefully families really enjoy it.

Better than the second film but not as good as the first, Cars 3 is still an uplifting story that will probably resonate with little kids.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Aug 6, 2019
Tackling the generational divide.

Resolutely sweet-natured and marked by some compelling visuals, Cars 3 is still the weakest of the trio.
| Original Score: 2.5/4 | Jun 20, 2019
Short and sweet, but it feels strangely inconsequential.
| Original Score: 2.5/4 | Jun 4, 2019
It has a great ending with a killer message but the entire thing doesn't quite fit together. There are problems that can't be overlooked.
| Original Score: 5.5/10 | May 21, 2019
I don't think this is a movie you have to see in the theater unless you have a strong attachment to this franchise.

There are plenty of cute moments and spectacular visuals and lots more merchandising opportunities, but there are also parts that aren't quite convincing.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Mar 21, 2019
Sadly, it still lacks the heart of the first movie, which had an ending that left a lump in your throat. Nonetheless, it is still fun, and should please fans of the series.

It's B-grade Pixar; it may be imbued with topical themes, yet individual moments shine brighter than the faltering whole.
