Cherry Reviews
One of the best movies that i have ever seen very underrated
Jarhead remake... literally some scenes are lifted from the movie Jarhead. It a really really bad take on the American military and service members. Literally every soldier (not holland) is a psychopath in the movie. Its really quite bad on many different levels
Damn to not rate it perfect feels like a crime
Is there anything worse than teenagers trying to act cool? I can't see any grown up liking this movie...
i really glad to see emily at the end of the epilogue, i know its cliche but that what i prefer for this movie to end.
I think this movie is great until the very end, it does a good job in showcasing the real effects of PTSD and Addiction in a way that feels real and brutal, also, it is always interesting and mesmerizing, unfortunately, the ending has very little in the way of catharsis or redemption for the main character, far from solving his problems, he just gives in to addiction in a scene that is very stylized with an Opera background music, perhaps the Russo brothers forget that Americans Hate Opera :) Since the Russo brothers come from directing some of the Best Marvel Movies, we kinda expected an ending where the main character kills the villain and escapes with the beautiful woman, but they went in the Opposite direction, a boring, bleak and disappointing ending that ruins the entire movie
This is Way better than Titanic !
Sure it's a well known theme and story and we've all seen similar stories but this movie is incredibly convincing and even the critics giving lousy reviews admit there is an emotional aspect here. My take on the bad critic reviews is the ending but guess what, that is basically autobiographical so once again the critics got it wrong. I sure wish Rotten Tomatoes would publish Audience Rating instead of the Critics ratings, especially when they differ so much like this movie.
Really loved the emotional rollercoaster this movie takes you on. A bit long, but it’s diverse topics and settings make it so that it doesn’t get stale.
Not bad but not great either.
The film is a wild experience, seemingly composed of different facets of a dramatic life. It starts with an average, perhaps somewhat bleak youth, transitions into a great love, goes through the cruelties of military service in Iraq, and ultimately ends in drug addiction. I really, really liked the film and would recommend it at any time.
This film hits hard because of addiction. Grown up with it around me but it’s not only this aspect that made me cry at the end, it’s the way emotions can be said by just a single camera shot. Beautiful all around. Almost better than beautiful boy, and that was a great film. 1000/5 !!!!!!
Excellent acting. Long movie but so worth it.
What an incredibly moving film. The creative visuals enhanced this with such effect. It made me so sad. Those moments where they find happiness made me incredibly happy. I hope they make it work.
The Novel is an absolute masterpiece. Unfortunately the film does not follow the novels narrative. Everything past the 3rd act is its own thing. I wouldn't say it's a terrible film. It has some merits, but not many.
I don't get the low score. It was a brilliant new age hard hitting movie. Tom Holland really shone in this film and made his stance in the world of acting. Highly recommend a watch
Acontece muita coisa na história, fiquei com a sensação de que o filme não chegou onde queria.
es perfecta, mi pelicula favorita
Best Tom Holland film - harrowing subject but played so well by all - a must watch imo
If your a Tom Holland fan and you want to see a different side of his acting skills, your going to like this movie.
