Child's Play Reviews
This is a classic horror movie the movie is good I think childs play 2 is so much better this started the franchise 9 out of 10
Classic and it is not scary but cool kinda scary
Love this movie. It's a classic and has some funny moments but also some dark aspects to it. Love Chucky.
Child’s Play, a child’s nightmare that has become a nightmare for many, delivers a perfect original horror story, especially for its time, that’s particularly noteworthy for its concept of a favorite toy coming to life and becoming a gruesome and killing nightmare. Brad Dourif’s voice acting as Chucky has left an indelible mark on the horror icon, celebrated by fans even today. While the film can be silly for some especially with slight comedic elements, true horror fans will honor it for its memorable concept. Grading: A-
A movie about a possessed evil doll sound bad as a concept but they absolutely pulled this off. Also, the way the shower us that Chucky's alive is so unique. Spoiler alert: when the mom picks up the box for the doll, the batteries that were included fell out of the box indicating that the doll is running without batteries. She then grabs the doll and turns it around to see it's back and opens up the battery compartment, it's empty and chucky's head spins 180 degrees to face her and says "hi, I'm chucky's. Wanna play?" So cool
A horror classic, perfectly well executed and with remarkable performances.
Classic killer doll and i love the concept
Child's play is a Christmas horror gift filled with incredible special effects and one of the scary best villain of the 80's.
A perfect mixture of sinister slasher and quite vulgar comedy from the iconic Chucky doll, throw in some cool shots of late 80s Chicago and you’ve got the perfect movie.
Child's Play 1989 is another classic with a cool idea to start a franchise. A little boy named Andy receives a doll from his mom Karen, only to find out that it has been possessed by a murdered by the name of Charles Lee Ray. During this movie, Charles Lee Ray hunts down old enemies and gets his revenges on most of them except Mikey. Chucky soon finds out that the only way to get out of the doll form is to take over the first person who saw his true form inside of the doll, which was Andy. Towards the end of the movie, Chucky tries to take over Andys body but is stopped and killed before that could happen. Karen dismantles Chuckys' body by blowing all of his body parts off, but Mikey gets the finishing blow by shooting Chucky in the heart. Overall, this is a very unique film and it was a great way to start off the character Chucky.
melhor filme de terror de boneco assassino 😂
Child’s Play is an really great first installment in the franchise. Not only is it a timeless horror classic, but performances from Alex Vincent and Brad Dourif visualizes on how well they each act in their roles. My only issues are that the car scene is cool and all but feels really unrealistic and some jokes ending up being corny. Aside from those cons, I really have no issues I could find. This is an amazing horror movie and I definitely recommend it. 9.25/10
My fav horror from childhood
Classic, simple, and fun horror movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. Reminder to all you watchers to put some respect on chucky's name. Too much chucky slander goes on these days: "cAn'T yOu JuSt KiCk HiM??".
Child's play has some of the best practical effects I've seen like making Chicky alive. Child's play is the perfect killer doll movie.
4/4 Its a classic in the horror genre. Chucky is one of the all time great villains in movie history. The main theme is among the best scores in movie history as well.
Child's Play is usually categorized with other definitive horror films of the 70's and 80's, such as Friday the 13th, Halloween, and A Nightmare on Elm Street, while it's a lot different, in ways I'll get into later.
