A smorgasbord of queer trauma that fails to engage
If you have seen the trailer then you have watched the whole movie. Various people asking endless questions for an hour and a half. Tedious.
Genuine representation of a gay relationship. Nothing happens in the movie except life and that makes it a beautiful movie.
Cicada picks at the affects our trauma and our past have on our current relationships. The story has a ton of depth but the acting and the script not as much.
An emotional journey of two men navigating the highs and lows of gay relationships, friendships, growing up, coming out, and the innate trauma of it all.
It was honest, from the heart and extremely unique and unforgettable. I feel blessed to have seen it!
