Coffee & Kareem Reviews
It was hard for me to find the stars at first but I think I found the right score. The humor is there but it shows up a little later in the movie, then it rolls. There are some hilarious scenes if you give the movie enough time to get past a really mouthy kid. This kid was too much for me at first but with Ed Helms and Betty Gilpin in the movie, I gave it an honest chance that paid off. And I mean it. When the humor kicks in, it stays on that level. Don't miss out on this one just because a lot of other reviews are calling it a hot mess.
Coffee And Kareem - 5.5/10. Ed Helms is a great comedic actor. He was one of the better comedic performers in The Office, and became a comedic movie star thanks to the The Hangover trilogy. But the rest of his comedic movie career has been a hit or miss. Coffee and Kareem is a miss, but not necessarily a bad movie. As a comedy movie, the jokes are a little crass. When it strictly relies on humour based on the situations that characters are in, the movie works well. As for the action, the movie follows suit with director Michael Dowse's previous film Stuber. The film follows the traditional buddy comedy format along with the good cop versus the bad system formula. The movie works when the movie focuses on the action portions, but fails a little when it tries to be a comedy film. The performances are decent, but nothing to write home about. At times, some of the scenes just feel too forced and trying too hard to entertain. As a movie, it entertains at times and is a quick watch. If you need something to kill the time, then go and try watching this film!
This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
This is movie is funny as hell.
this movie is fucking terrible they should have shot the black lady its not a race thing but she is so fucking annoying. The best part in the movie is when her son shoots her ass with the taser when she wouldn't shut the fuck up.
I think the movie is really good. I think that the actors were so good! Terrence Little (Kareem) is Legit and no one can play that role better than Ed Helms. "Ok dude!? Look at the rating!" The reason for this Could? be because of the scene where Kareem is trying to teach Ed Helms character how to talk trash talk. Because of cancel culture, movie came out 2020, I believe that it was rated by upset people. This movie is Really good!! Taraji P. Henson isn't going to do a cheap, poorly written (this has 2-3 spots) or whatever!!! She could do Anything and after reading the script, talking career and she Chose this movie! Watch it! Then get back on here and let the people know! FOUR STARS
Well, disappointing to start. I honestly did get a few good laughs but that’s about it. Forgettable movie
I'm sorry but I find Ed Helms so annoying in everything he does. Don't waste your time with this
It sounds like family comedy but minds the language. It's funny and entertaining but nothing more to that...
Betty Gilpin was the only good part and I was rooting for the bad guys because everyone else was just insufferable.
something to watch when you have seen all the good movies.
This movie is really funny
The movie was a fun watch. It didn't take itself serious. Betty Gilpin did a great job. The writers struck an interesting new vibe with the jokes.

"Coffee & Kareem" is a dumb and over the top buddy cop action comedy that doesn't try to be anything more than that. Personally, I found this movie to be pretty funny despite its silly nature. I found myself laughing consistently enough to warrant watching it one time. I have always liked Ed Helms and I think if you like his style of comedy, this movie is a fun time. I don't think it is a comedy masterpiece or anything like that, but I think it's a decently fun time as long as your expectations aren't too high.
