I finally watched creed 3 and great film! Terrific acting and the boxing had you captivated the whole time. I don’t think you necessary need to see the other two movies before watching this one but at least watch two. Amazing job from Tessa, Michael and Johnathan! I wouldn’t mind another installment with a good plot ! I would highly recommend this watch.

Completely abandons so many things that made the others great

This movie made very little sense. The film was compelling to watch in terms of a human struggle. It was saturated with illogical outcomes and forced suspense of belief in a way no other movie from either the Rocky or Creed franchises have ever done. Well acted but unbelievable characters making bad choices with plot armor leads to a visually stunning and emotionally charged conculsion that unfortunately undermines everything the series built...

Just as impactful and rousing as the 1st film, Creed III is gripping, emotional and surprisingly visually stunning, with Michael B. Jordan making a phenomenal debut as a director here.

An intriguing character study about a reignited friendship with some old wounds to heal. Jonathon Majors is amazing and his relationship with Michael B Jordan’s character is the glue holding this movie together, even if its final confrontation and resolution is rushed too quickly.

Creed was fantastic, Creed II was pretty good. Creed III continues the trend of descending quality. The video-game like CGI generated stadium crowds were a bit cringey, but the attempts to make the final fight dramatic and artsy was pretty cringe-worthy. I'm writing this as it finishes up - I blame the cat on my lap for not getting up to turn it off - but you're time is probably best spent watching something else

Retaining, and rejuvenating, the emotional core, Michael B. Jordon embraces his role to fresh, compelling directorial heights that further glorifies the stemmed legacies amid the unforeseeable tension, a diverting tactic the genre needs to dodge the formulaic uplift. (A-)

Just like #2, I found myself rooting for the "bad" guy to get redemption. Creed just isn't very likeable in this movie. The movie definitely misses Rocky's presence.

Creed 2 really should’ve been the end of this franchise. This film felt very unnecessary only made just because it’s a known IP and will make money because these films don’t cost a lot to make and are easily profitable. Does it make the film bad no the film is actually very good Michael B Jordan made a very good film here but it doesn’t change the fact that this movie never needed to exist

Best Creed Movie ever

You can tell Sylvester Stallone was not involved in the writing. This movie was missing the rocky class and nostalgia. Almost like a spin off. Entertaining but missing the magic.

A good film. However, now Rocky seems to be out the picture, the Creed franchise will never get close to how Rocky made us feel.

The plot was a bit weak, in my opinion. It wasn't bad, but it felt like the weakest entry in the series so far.

The fact that the Rocky/Creed series is 9 movies deep and still able to make movies this good, is a miracle. At the core of this success is the understanding that these movies are not about boxing, they are about characters. They are interesting characters, broken characters, flawed characters, that's what makes them engaging stories. After "Creed" passed the torch to Adonis in 2015, there were two elements that the reboot hadn't hit. The first element was the villains. The villains in the "Rocky" series were the right level of over the top in order to make them memorable. "Creed" (2015) had a more grounded and realistic antagonist. He was played by a real boxer, and his only time to flex as a villain was in the press conference. Thankfully, by "Creed II" the franchise improved their villain department, introducing Victor Drago. "Creed III" continues the streak of powerful antagonists. Jonathan Majors as Dame is an all-time great antagonist. Majors and Jordan have excellent on-screen chemistry. You can buy them as old friends, two people with a troubled past and inevitably enemies. Dame is an interesting villain. He shares a personal connection with Adonis and is both parts sympathetic and intimidating. The performances all around are stellar. To save on time highlighting each one, just look through the cast and assume that they all did a next level acting job. The second element from the "Rocky" franchise that "Creed" has yet to hit, is the music. "Rocky" has a reputation of having some of the all-time greatest workout songs. Unfortunately, "Creed" has yet to reach that mark. In all of the positive reviews, I don't think one that will mention the musical score as one of the films strengths. I can't imagine that being the case for any of the "Rocky" films. Perhaps, I am setting a high bar for the "Creed" franchise to live up to. Ludwig does a fine job with the music. But when comparing to "Gonna Fly Now", "Eye of the Tiger" and "Hearts on Fire" nothing is getting added to my playlist. OK, the music is fine, the characters and acting are great, how is the story? This is where I will keep it vague, wanting to stay spoiler free. Granted, it is a "Creed" movie after all, there are certain plot points I'm sure you can guess from a mile away. Will they settle their conflict in a boxing match or will they have a high stakes poker game? The story is really good. The characters are compelling enough on their own that it is entertaining just seeing them go about their day. But when the action kicks in, the movie does a great job making this some of the best fights of the franchise. Jordan as a first-time director wears his anime influence on his sleeves, and I love it. On the weak side, Stallone's absent is felt. I am fine, in theory, with Rocky's story ending with Creed II. That ending is a great series wrap for the character. But there are a couple story beats in this story where it is distracting that Rocky isn't there. The training montages are good, but without the great music, it lacks some of the punch of previous entries. Also, typically in Rocky movies, the rise to the conflict parallels the character's boxing journey. This one the protagonist's boxing journey feels like it is just added on in the end. There are a few other nitpicks they do to try to make Creed seem more like the underdog in the final fight which I do not buy. It may not be my favorite of the franchise, but it is still a rock-solid entry into the beloved series. It never feels dull in its whole runtime. The main thing of the movie really works that being the conflict between Jordan's Creed and Major's Anderson. The movie is a winner and still champion.
