I think people who rated this movie below 2, are just sad with their lives and live alone. It was an absolutely laugh, these ‘critics’ must understand that comedies are exaggerated and are not real life and they don't follow real life rule. So when a critics say it’s too dumb, duh it’s a comedy movie it’s not meant to be serious. The acting was brilliant, the story line was decent, it did the job of the movie, “have a division in the family, then resolve it”. It’s unjust to criticise a movie when you do not like the genre. It’s funny how these professional critics hate it, but the general public loves it. CRITICS SHOULD NOT SAY THE MOVIE IS JUST DUMB, it a comedic genus, the way it takes a very big social problem; e.g. blended families and give those people who are effected by it a way to relate and find a way to have a laugh. DO BETTER CRITICS

Why are people taking this movie so seriously its just meant to be funny

Mel Gibson and John Lithgow only enhance the already perfect contrast between Wahlberg and Will Farrell. The sequel is almost better than the first. Perfect holiday fun about misfit in-laws’ dysfunction.

This Movie sucks so much that my dumb little brother had to turn it on while I was playing 2k and this movie is so weird I hate it

Daddy's Home 2 is a major step down from the original, with a few funny moments but an overall unnecessary sequel that fails to capture the charm of its predecessor. As a Christmas movie, it misses the mark, and the lack of John Cena is a noticeable disappointment.

This movie is kinda better than the first one, but it sucks that adult Griff wasn’t there. And it’s kinda repetitive, and the kids are still terrible characters.

The snowball fight near the end is worth the wait if you need a good laugh!

Daddy's Home 2 is one I would consider a mixed film but however it does have a ton of heart, wild entertainment and crude humour.

I have watched this movie probably upwards of 30 times by now. First time was in a theater. It is in my top 5 Christmas movies of all time and blows daddy’s home 1 out of the water. Still hilariously funny every time I watch it with quotable lines on top of quotable lines. The ending is one of the most incredible, joyful Christmas scenes ever made. The speech of how we all go to the movies and laugh and cry with random strangers but never talk to them along and we should with Christmas music and family saying they love each other. What’s not to love? If you dislike this movie you are a grinch. Easily up there with the holiday classics and criminally underrated.

Not as good as Daddy's Home 1 but still worth watching.

Not the best comedy film ever but has enough to make me laugh regularly. The casting of the grandparents made this film along with the cold blooded killer child.

Honestly, thought it was funny and Mel Gibson was well casted as Mark Wahlberg's dad. There was definitely some very funny moments. The camera quality felt more like a commercial but besides that it's good.

Films like this will never get credit from arrogant film critics who love nothing more than to squash the fun out of a film that does nothing but bring joy, which is just what you want from a family fun Christmas movie. It’s a regular in my house and would recommend it to anyone, don’t listen to the critics give it a watch !

I think I will never take the tomatometer into consideration. This was a funny, easy to digest movie with good actors. A very nice Christmas movie.

Ridiculous, brainless slapstick blended family Xmas shenanigans. Turn your brain off and enjoy with the kids.

An easy Xmas film, with quick humour. Not too serious and consuming, if your stuck for something to watch in the festive period look no further for a bit of cheer.

The first movie was so bad what idiot thought adding new actors and throwing millions at a sequel would work? How to make it worse? Add Smell Gibson, John Lithgo, and John Senseless.

The heartwarming moments seemed forced and overall the all star cast seemed wasted. There are still a couple of funny moments to be had.
