Daniel Isn't Real Reviews
Horror undermining mental illness. Mental illness undermining horror. The cycle continues.
Pretty good movie overall. Luke’s Psychiatrist is a worthless brainless wonder of a doctor; anyone that stupid deserves to die. “Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!” Daniel is about to take over Luke’s body. Scream “Oh my god!” Three more times and do nothing. Then, when he’s in Luke’s body, dumbass decides to pick up the knife as if it wasn’t too late half-way through his annoying screams.
Amazing horror film. 10/10. Impossible to predict and consistently engaging, Daniel Isn't Real is now in my Top 10 Horror Movies.
Great start! Decent story. WILD ending!
Gripping plot and really well shot
Where schizophrenia swerves into sci-fi. One dash donnie darko, a pinch of fight club, with a few notes of hellraiser and drop dead fred. Overall okay movie.
Daniel is the nastiest imaginary friend ever seen in a horror movie. He will take the viewer on a hallucinating and psychedelic trip. Who needs a friend like this?
"Daniel Isn't Real" fun messed up horror take on having imaginary best friend with Patrick Schwarzenegger stealing the show as Daniel, putting in a performance with an evil charm and confidence to the character.
Never have seen anything like it. Has its problems but definitely an interesting watch.
Great concept but poor execution. Would've been way better with a more capable cast. It's like Tim Robbins and arnold schwarzenegger begged the director to hire their kids so they could get them outta their hair.
Convincing psychological horror with some interesting visuals and a wild ending that borders on ‘going off the rails' but manages to barely stay on the tracks and not go over the edge.
Edge of your seat, really original and very controlled, balanced performances. Great way to spend my time.
Awful. This is what the shitty kid from art school with rich parents would have made if they read the Wikipedia breakdown of what a psychological thriller is.
Despite a few interesting visuals, feels paper thin and miscast.
One reviewer aptly described this as the bastard child of Drop Dead Fred and Jacob's Ladder. It's a heavy, hallucinatory trip into a world where the lines of mental health and the paranormal are blurred. It's filled with great performances and striking visuals. I'll definitely be revisiting this one.
‘Daniel Isn't Real' is a Unique and Terrifying Vision
Amazing 😍 I don't usually like anything to do with monsters. I'm not usually a fan of sci-fi but this movie did it right🔥🔥 the rest of the movie is so fckin amazing that I don't even mind the monsters🔥🔥 I love EVERYTHING about this movie. Miles Robbins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Sasha Lane give some of the BEST fckin performances I have seen in a hot minute, the cinematography is absolutely stunning and the movie explains everything so clearly. If you haven't seen this I MOST DEFINITELY Recommend watching it. It mixes sci-fi, psychological thriller,&& horror so beautifully I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful film.
