Great watch that sets the story for a great franchise!

The animation is lackluster compared to the rest of the films, but that doesn't mean Despicable Me isn't worth a watch. It's a pretty good film. I think it's one of the subpar ones because it's the first in the series. Still a good film though.

This Movie Was my Entire Childhood. the outdated Computer Animatian Is Better Than the modern Improvement Ones Because It’s more Nostalgic. So The first time I watched this movie is when I was about 3y old I Seen them all But I watched this Movie the most as a kid And Watching it as a 12 year old it is still Amazing 9.5/10 best Part in the movie the Minions Illuminatian Would be nothing without them since this movie started It all. I don’t Know if It’s better than Despicable me 3 But it’s close.

I had never seen Despicable Me before, but I finally gave it a chance and found it to be an adorable film. The ensemble cast, especially the minions, was fantastic; however, I initially thought the story revolved solely around them and their antics. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the plot centers on the main character adopting three little girls and experiencing the deep love of a parent for these three orphans. The narrative itself was beautifully crafted and genuinely touching. Given how often I've encountered these characters in various forms of media, I mistakenly assumed the girls were just his nieces that he was babysitting. I didn’t grasp the full depth of the storyline. It was enjoyable, imaginative, and refreshing to see a film outside of Disney that offered such entertainment. While the minions added a fun and lively touch to the movie, the three little girls also had remarkable and heartwarming journeys of their own. Steve Carell's performance was surprisingly hilarious. I’m truly impressed by how exceptional this film turned out to be. If it were to be re-released in theaters for an anniversary, I believe it would be fantastic to see it on the big screen.

I think this movie is amazing for family movie night. It has humor suspense and action. It is an absolute must-see! My favourite part is when Gru tries to steal the moon. My least favourite part is when Gru misses the girls' performance. I love this movie!

Despicable Me showcased Illumination’s best, particularly in their early years, perfecting its animation to the same level as Toy Story 3 and the rest of Pixar and DreamWorks. The clever and cute premise, coupled with adorable characters, especially the Minions, caught viewers of the 2010s, including myself, by surprise. Grading: A-
