Diablo Reviews
I don’t know why this movie gets so much hate. It’s an amazing modern western with a hell of a twist. I loved the casting choices and Eastwood Jr really deserves more western roles, reminds me a lot of his father. With Goggins by his side it was some cool chemistry that made for a good and dark western story. Wasn’t fond of Glover’s acting in this but it can be chalked up to writing. After watching it I had to look up the reviews and was stunned it wasn’t in the high 70% at least on audience. It’s definitely worth the watch.
Probably the best psychological thriller I'ver ever seen. Has got Hitchcock beat on that count. First you feel like Clint Eastwood is back as a young man doing a western again, which is really neat. Then about 20 minutes into the film, you realize something is off and you are trying to figure out what is going on...and you keep wondering. The pay off in spades is remarkable. A great film.
A guy with 2 guns walks to the middle of a farm yard and shoots mexicans with riffles hidden behind doors. He then squats quietly to finish cut a mexican's throat the enters the house to kill a few other armed mexicans hiding behind doors. A real great moment of cinema.
One of the few films I couldn’t watch to the end. Nothing made sense.
I just enjoyed the movie! Scott Eastwood needs to get more western movie opportunities in my opinion bring back the genre!
Aimless and stupid. One of the laziest plots I've ever seen.
Terrible movie. Script writer must have been on drugs when he wrote it. No plot, just a waste of time watching Eastwood.
It's a Decent film, not as bad as these Painfully Obvious Liberal types on here would lead you to believe. The Scenes between Jackson & Ezra were damned good, the Big Twist was pretty obvious but still enjoyable. Really speaks to the inner turmoil of a damaged mind, you try to be a good man not knowing that the entire time you are the Opposite of lol. Altogether a Decent watch to kill the time, unfortunately it's nothing special which is a shame. 🤷🏿♂️
Could have been so much better. But I feel my time could have been better spent if they had provided translations for both languages
Diablo is a below average western that feature some good cinematography and Scott Eastwood seems committed but the film falls flat. The twists in the film he could see coming a mile away which leaves a lot of plot holes and questions that I never answered. The ending sucked. Scott Eastwood tries his hand out a western and it’s definitely nothing memorable or even close to a classic.
Although it may take ideas from other movies it is a must see for any cinephiles and fans of westerns.
Possibly the worst film I've ever seen. Waste of 90+ mins. Boring and leads nowhere. No proper ending.
Even without dialogue story moves forward, held my attention, good plot twist at the end. Beautiful scenery.
I like the action, special effects, and the random Ezra pop ups. But I will unfortunately have to give it a 2 star. The main reason for this is I felt that the movie had a very weak plot and random scenes being crammed together. That's all I have to say and I'm unfortunately not interested in this movie.
I really liked it to be honest. The pacing was a bit weird at the start, but it played into the overall plot nicely. I thought Eastwood junior was really good, he isn't exactly like his old man but I think he actually has more potential as an actor with a range of emotions. Great movie in my opinion.
That was dope. A cool twist on the western vigilante story. Goggins is great as usual and Glover doesn't sleepwalk through like he tends to now. Damn Eastwood looks just like his dad! To bad he doesn't sound or quite emote like him yet. He's too whiney, and kept me from from giving it a four star...
Scott Eastwood has all the mold of his daddy but none of his natural charisma in a film that doesn't know what story it wants to tell.
