Die Hard 2 (1990) is a solid action movie that delivers high-energy sequences and a familiar setup, but it lacks the magic that made the first one a classic. The plot follows a similar structure, with John McClane once again caught in a high-stakes situation, but the tension does not feel as sharp this time. The script has its moments, keeping McClane's signature humor and attitude intact, but it leans more on spectacle than smart problem-solving. The airport setting feels expansive, but it does not create the same sense of claustrophobic intensity as Nakatomi Plaza, making the action feel bigger but less impactful. Renny Harlin's directing keeps the pace fast, and the cinematography does a good job of maintaining momentum, but the action sequences feel more chaotic than calculated. Bruce Willis still carries the movie with his charisma, but the villains are less memorable, and the overall conflict does not feel as compelling. The score and sound design are effective in keeping the energy high, but they do not add much beyond standard action beats. Die Hard 2 is an entertaining sequel with plenty of action, but it feels like it is trying to recreate the first film rather than build on it.
Great sequel. I really liked it. Absolutelly recommended.
yo, its me. wife left took the kids part 2
It's still great but lacks a lot more than the first one I wasn't much of a fan of the villans but it still worth a watch
This is a Top Script, game in many ways, because it has a look at terrifying misbehaviour within the ranks of The Military. Some of the close quarters violence can shock some to the core, so totally unexpected, and frankly quite appalling to some. But therein lies the Script-Writers Message, Violence can sometimes come literally out of nowhere, and even sometimes from those you have been been brought up to totally trust. The Song at this Film’s End, “ Let It Snow, “ sung I think, from memory, by Vic Damone is a winner in my view from “ DIE HARD 2’s “ Director for its almost hypnotic effect by way of inviting The Viewer to reflect upon what they have just seen.
Second in the franchise not as good as the first, this time the action takes place at an airport, still a fun watch
While they have ramped up the action sequences here, it lacks the claustrophobic setting of the original movie that helped make it an instant classic. Still an entertaining movie and one worth checking out.
Call me crazy but I think that this could be greater than the first one, and don’t get me wrong the first one is a masterpiece of the action cinema but this one has more intensity, I don’t know both are great movies.
The plot is so over-the-top that it becomes a parody of an action film. Absolutely nothing makes any sense,
Still a fun Die Hard film but nowhere near as exciting as the first one. Very bleak, dark and ugly looking by contrast. Bruce is still great; full of energy and chaos. The villains were a little over the top and campy.
"Die Hard" may seem like a movie primed for a sequel. It was an awesome 80's action movie with a great character in the lead. And most importantly for the studio, the movie was a big box-office hit, so why not make a franchise out of this property? The problem is inherent in the set up. John McClain is the reluctant hero; he is simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is just a cop, not a superhero. He is not the person that the government turns to when a super villain calls. So, what do you do? You have him in the wrong place at the wrong time...again. This film is very much, Die Hard...again. Not that it is necessarily a bad thing, it is just underwhelming. The movie is not as tightly written as the first. As they cut to the other side stories in this film, you do find yourself just suffering through the scenes to get to the main plot. There are some plot points that just don't make sense. The villain isn't as memorable as the first film. I just finished the film, and I still can't remember his name. Was it Mr. Falcon? But, on the positive side, John McClain is still a great every man. Bruce Willis does a great job in the role, making more than just an impression of the character, but making him feel like the character has grown and progressed since the last time we saw him. The action still feels very visceral, and more grounded than the over-the-top action of other franchises. It may not be one of the all-time great action movies of all time, like the first one, but it is still a good one. I admire that the film does Try Hard.
While it's not as good as the first one, still a 10/10 for me
I can die in piece now
Extremely intense action sequences, shockingly wild plot twists, and a very exciting game of Cat and Mouse are what make DIE HARD 2 an explosive sequel that is definitely worth watching.
Die harder is really fascinating enjoyable movie one of the best franchises of all time!
Legend movie ✨✨✨ everyone loves the movie
Ramos (Franco Nero). Vale apena assistir? Sim com certeza. Nota: 9
A decent sequel that lives up to the original.
