I had read a few of the Dredd comics when I was a kid and loved the grittiness and tone. I was disappointed in the Stallone version but loved this movie. All of the visuals were right on and Karl Urban nailed the part! I really wanted to see a sequel and have been disappointed nothing ever happened.

EXCELLENT ESCAPIST ENTERTAINMENT!!!!! This ia a well acted, well-crafted and well-paced JEWEL which deserved to be a smash hit (I think the POS version of Stallone tainted it) 'Dredd' (2012) is perhaps the most underrated movie ever made. Faithful to the gritty source material. I´ve watched it like 20 times and it's been fun and engaging every single time. The acting is superb (especially Karl Urban and Olivia´s. Watch it, you´ll be hooked.

I love cyberpunk, and if I am ever held at gunpoint for a shortlist, this would be up there with both Blade Runners, Akira, Edgerunners, Ghost in the Shell, and Strange Days. For me, there are two schools for this subgenre: the poignant and the loud. Pick this if you're in the mood for the latter.

Possibly -the archtypical- cyberpunk movie. This is brilliantly done, even if there is a bit too much reliance on the standards of action movies (people like superheroes fighting evil).

With awesome badass blood and guts futuristic gun-slinging armed force of the law isn't messing around, beating and killing other bad guys, and taking names, and a certain style I dug. Violent, hell yes. But yes sir, the scenes aren't boring at all, and Ma-Ma is one sexy villain

One of my favourite movies ever. There is nothing in this movie that I dislike. Stellar action. Superb adaptation of the source material. Must-see.

Faithful and absolutely exhilarating multifaceted action movie with perfect lead characters and performances. And it did not copy the Raid, this was made before but just released slower! Do not miss this one!

It's truly bizarre how this movie never spawned a sequel. It's absolutely a great modern action classic. From the writing, to the character development and a brilliantly sick villain that you love to hate. Karl Urban should be given the opportunity to knock this out of the park once again.

This Dredd is infinity better than Stallone's. Urban & Thrilby give amazing performances. This is dark as the source material. This movie is the as intended version of Dredd. One can only hope these two are paired again on a sequel.

Ultra graphic violence. No punches pulled. High body count. Not for the faint of heart. True to the comics. Keith Urban and Olivia Thirlby are excellent.

About perfect for a movie with this character, violent and satisfying with great characters throughout. Casting is perfect and would love a sequel, but Dredd, for gods sake, if you are out of ammo, pick up someone else gun!

Great movie! I tought it was gonna be bad and cliché. Totally opposite. Not one minute wasted, very cool movie. I loved the soundtrack too.
