Drive Angry Reviews
Drive Angry nickk cage. top level fun. see in 3d if possible. 4*
Nicolas cage unleashed! action, fire, gunfights, and Willian fichtner as the accountant has the back of Nicolas Cage well covered as a double agent for hell, a simple story but well developed, the time and telling is correct for an action movie, and that's all you need, enjoy an adult story for once with adrenaline and bit of humor
Wtf was that nonsense. Didn't Nicolas Cage make good movies at some point?
Another underrated Cage fever dream with some eerily on point winks and nods.
Nic Cage might be the only actor you'd sit through this for. Somehow, that sumbitch managed to pull this off.
Cheesy, but it's so entertaining! If only all movies were this engaging, there's never a dull moment. You'll probably love it or hate it.
I almost didn’t watch this movie, but I thought I would give it a try for about 10 minutes. I was just sure I wasn’t gonna like it for some reason, I’m just not into Satanic stuff and I wasn’t quite sure how demonic the movie would be, but what a pleasant surprise well written, well filmed, and surprisingly great acting. It’s like the best movie I’ve heard of in a long time that nobody’s ever heard of and besides, does Nicolas Cage ever let you down? It’s almost done like a B-movie, but a really, really good one. I wish they would have made it into a series I would have watched every episode, seriously lol. And I’m kind of fussy about movies.
Worth it just for the comedic action & phrases alone! It's not meant to ne serious but if you want great action & are short of a belly laugh it's a tonic. We love it as a family watch ....
Suspend reality and enjoy
I'm not a big fan of grindhouse movies - or any "exploitation" movies for that matter- but I fell in love with this one when I recently watched it. The action is aptly fast-paced; the gore is as shocking it should be without being overdone; the CGI is OK; and the acting, with the exception of Nicolas Cage, is perfect. Regarding the latter, the performances of Amber Heard (as Piper Lee) and William Fichtner (as The Accountant) deserve special mention because they're the kinds of performances that you're bound to remember for a long time after watching the movie. Indeed, Heard's ability to weave together unapologetic bad-assery with comedy in a way that communicates agency and strength in this movie shows exactly why she was the perfect choice for Mera in Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) and Aquaman (2018). All that said, I did have some hang-ups about the movie's subpar racial and gender representations and about some of its CGI not being perfectly done. Still, I would, overall, recommend it to most lovers of action, thriller, and horror films as well as to fans of Fichtner and Heard.
Drive Angry Movie Summary. Nene Nyny Describe the movie Drive Angry (2007) in the best way possible I'm sorry, but there is a slight error in your question. The movie Drive Angry was actually released in 2011, not 2007. However, I can still describe the movie for you. Drive Angry is a high-octane action-thriller that follows the story of John Milton (played by Nicolas Cage), a hardened criminal who has broken out of hell to avenge the murder of his daughter and rescue his granddaughter from a satanic cult. Along the way, he teams up with a beautiful and deadly woman named Piper (played by Amber Heard), who becomes his unlikely ally in a race against time to stop the cult's leader (played by Billy Burke) from completing a ritual that will bring about the end of the world. The movie is full of intense car chases, epic shootouts, and over-the-top action sequences that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. It also features a great soundtrack and some truly memorable characters, including a mysterious accountant (played by William Fichtner) who is hot on John Milton's trail. Overall, Drive Angry is a wild and entertaining ride that will appeal to fans of adrenaline-fueled action movies. Nene Nyny Write a review for this movie Sure, here's a review of Drive Angry: Drive Angry is an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride from start to finish. Nicolas Cage's performance as John Milton, a hardened criminal who has broken out of hell to avenge his daughter's murder and save his granddaughter, is intense and captivating. Amber Heard is equally impressive as Piper, a tough and resourceful woman who becomes Milton's unlikely ally. The movie is packed with over-the-top action sequences, from car chases to shootouts, all set against a backdrop of occultist themes and a race against time to stop a cult from bringing about the end of the world. The cinematography and soundtrack complement the action perfectly, creating a truly immersive experience. One of the standout performances comes from William Fichtner as the mysterious and enigmatic accountant, who adds a layer of depth and intrigue to the story. The chemistry between the actors is palpable, adding to the overall enjoyment of the film. While the plot may be somewhat convoluted, Drive Angry more than makes up for it with its non-stop action and thrilling set pieces. It's the kind of movie that doesn't take itself too seriously and invites the audience to sit back and enjoy the ride. In conclusion, if you're looking for a wild and entertaining action movie, Drive Angry is definitely worth checking out. With its great cast, pulse-pounding action, and occultist themes, it's a fun and satisfying cinematic experience.
This is a truly batsh*t insane movie, but it's very funny. William Fichtner and Cage compete in who can chew the most scenery, there's a lot of craziness going on, a lot of memorable quotes, and an entertaining premise. Overall, it's not haute couture by any metric, but it's good fun.
A classic Nicolas Cage I-need-to-pay-off-my-castle role. Some wild action sequences and a pretty bizarre satanic cult plot mean that there are always interesting things happening on screen, but the overall quality never gets above mediocre. The peak performance of the movie is definitely the scene at the roach motel where Cage blows away like twelve people while maintaining sexual contact with the waitress he's bedding. Honestly, that one scene may have been the idea that spawned the whole movie. Writer dreamed it up and was like "Now what kind of movie would fit around this?" and presto! Drive Angry was born.
The latest Nicholas-Cage-funds-his-IRS-debt-repayment movie is as bad as you might have suspected as Cage and love interest, Amber-craps-in-the-bed-Heard, blaze across a white trash America, filled with only the shallowest of cardboard-cutout stereotypes, speaking lines scribbled hastily down off a packet of Marlboro Lights. With camera shots done so badly that punches clearly miss that still fell the one-dimensional characters, it is clear that this low budget failure has hired only the most talentless of interns to compose its production team from Hell. How poor William Fichtner was dragged into this sorry mess remains a mystery - a one of this generations' most gifted actors, his presence on the screen is, as always truly outstanding, making all the other actors look like they have just stepped of the stage from a first grader's nativity play, such is the paucity of their performance compared with his.
"Drive Angry" isn't as bad as it could have been because it seems to be aware that is meant to be somewhat trashy and over the top fun. I didn't really like the story in the movie, but I did enjoy some of the action here despite it being very silly. I think there was potential for a mindlessly fun movie here but the story gave me no reason to be invested. It seemed more interested in featuring as much R-rated content as possible and forgot to tell an effective story. Nonetheless, there are some impressive chases and shootouts here and it is one of those movies I could see myself watching as background noise or at the very least rewatching some of the more entertaining scenes on YouTube or something.
I remember watching it when it came out and I at least enjoyed the overall jam-packed action. However, revisiting it in 2022 - it was almost too difficult to watch. The acting was cheesy and the dialogue was atrocious; not to mention the graphics were terrible. I can't even say the plot line was solid. For what it was - I was tolerable. If you must watch it; it's more enjoyable if you mental categorize it was a campy cheesy parody of an action movie as opposed to anything else.
An awesome and kickass action film where it is basically the better version of Ghost Rider, and has Nicolas Cage in perfect form.
