60s & 70s period pieces are always more fun to watch than your average movie; this was no exception. Maybe it was the music; maybe it was just a freer time. Government didn't win this won; but DeLorean never really rallied from the fallout. This movie is a fun look back at a different world.

This is a very good movie I enjoyed it a lot this movie tells you some stuff about John DeLorean and Jim Hoffman to the best of the film makers knowledge and the rest of the characters that they know of. The movie was well made and very entertaining makes me want to know more about the real people. Very good movie the acting and directing is great in this movie. If you have not seen this movie then I recommend you do

The movie revolves around the unlikely friendship between DeLorean (Pace) and his neighbor Jim Hoffman (Sudeikis), a convicted drug smuggler turned FBI informant. Sudeikis brings charm and humor to the role of Hoffman, providing a quirky contrast to Pace’s more serious portrayal of the enigmatic DeLorean. Their chemistry is enjoyable to watch, though at times the film struggles to find a balance between the comedic and dramatic tones. While the performances are solid, especially from Pace who gives DeLorean a magnetic presence, the film’s pacing feels uneven. It jumps between moments of intrigue and slower, less engaging scenes that don’t always add much to the narrative. The story focuses more on Hoffman than DeLorean, which may disappoint viewers expecting a deeper exploration of the automotive mogul's life and motivations.

Got drawn in almost immediately. Jason Sudekis nails his part. Hate to say it but they probably could have found a better actress to play his wife. Nothing at all against Judy Greer. I, in my opinion just wasn't thrilled with her performance in THIS movie. All in ALL, I had to continue rewinding it over & over bcuz I thought I was missing seconds!!! Lol that's how drawn into it I got!! & glad I did bcuz I 💯 enjoyed the movie experience & have recommended it to pretty much everyone I know whether they've already seen it or not.

It is an interesting story.

While the subject is basically interesting the screenplay and direction for this treatment leave much to be desired. The fact alone, that almost all characters involved are unlikeable will put it at odds with many audiences. Then, trying to squeeze some worthy personality elements from egotistical mainstream conmen (auto magnate John DeLorean, etc) and small-time boy-next-door drug runner (John Hoffman) is a stretch anyway. Performances are mostly on the mark but the potty-mouthed crude dialogue is often overdone and unnecessary. The cars are cool and the production is agreeable but it often feels too far removed from its factual background to remain engaging, and somehow, the pacing makes the whole thing seem much longer than it actually is – this makes for not a good feel.

I recently watched another bio-pic film on John DeLorean so it was somewhat interesting to see the telling of the story from a slightly different perspective. It was an okay film.

Loved it. You'll either like it or love it. But dislike it? No. The acting and the story hold it together to unfurl an intriguing tale.

Just a dreadful waste of time. Jason Sudeikis' worst performance of his less than impressive career. Maybe worth 3 stars if they didn't cast Sudeikis in it. Don't waste your time.

Great performances from the cast and kept my attention on the likeable top characters that turn to devious choices out of desperation.

Surprisingly boring given the material it was covering. Made me want to watch the documentary which came out the same year

The story of DeLorean is well tread territory. But Driven's excellent cast and slick production make it absolutely worth watching even if you already know the tale.

Well scripted movie with great acting and enjoyable characters.

Kinda cool movie as it was based on a true story which I did not know much about. It kinda dragged for a bit so I assume it could have been executed better.

It's a good weekend movie

A wonderful film, brilliantly acted and directed, has a very high quality feel, despite a small budget.

I couldn't get into this movie about the framing of John DeLorean in a drug deal. The other DeLorean movie is so much better.

Driven is an interesting crime drama supported by the performances of its talented cast and while it drives off the lane a couple of times it remains a good movie to watch.

There was the skeleton of a semi-interesting narrative here but unfortunately the execution came off exceptionally blah. Although this is based on a true story, there have been many films depicting similar situations and there was nothing original to really set this apart or make it remotely memorable. Still perfectly diverting but these events were ultimately only even worth making into a film because of the recognition of one of the names involved.

I enjoyed this movie. I didnt know the cast or the story but it was one of those movies that kept me interested throughout. They were clear it was based on true events... so I didn't mind the dramatization of some fictionalized parts. The hapless Hoffman was believable enough to make the whole thing interesting and entertaining.
