Duck Butter Reviews
TERRIBLE MOVIE it didn’t made no sense. Plot all over the place, manic pixie dream girl coded. Mommy issues thrown in to explain it all. Took me three days to finish, only to find out it was written by a MAN. If you’re looking for LES movies recs this ain’t it. Don’t waste your time like I wasted mine, watch Drive Away Dolls instead
It had very good performances by both of the lead actress, overall the plot was interesting and a satisfying climax . But don't seem to have proper character arc, i recommend this a one time watch also the pacing is very slow so keep that in mind.
Really horrible, look Room in Rome
Not here for poomour in any shape or form.
Tem uma proposta muito interessante com alguns momentos de vergonha alheia. E claramente ficou estranho a cantora não ter voz....
As the film began I realized this fulfilled many of my own more disappointing experiences, which sure, they understand a sense about lesbian relationships, a little too well. What little likability the characters have early on diminished by the second half. Tone is also a huge issue here, comedic episodes consistently end up feeling like drama.
I have quite literally never written a review of anything but this movie was so infuriatingly awful that I made an account just to do so. About ten minutes into this movie I could already tell how terrible it was going to be...but then i just had to hate watch it because curiosity got the best of me. I thought, "There's no way it could really be THAT bad." But...it was. And it only got worse as time went on.
Didn't really make sense, kindof felt like some weird fever dream to watch. I seemed like the movie was trying to be "deep" but really just has no plot.
I've seen Laia Costa in another movie and she plays both roles exactly the same in both movies (I think the other one is called Newness). Not a huge acting stretch there. That being said, I didn't understand the point of this movie. There really wasn't much of a plot, it was pretty boring and not introspective or thought-provoking in any way. I did give it 1 1/2 stars because there are a few dogs in it that are very cute.
saved by incredible chemistry but the film is shallow behind the electrifying scenes and montages
I honestly was extremely shocked to feel so moved by this movie, I came into it having no idea what it was and that made the experience what it was. It could be my lack of experience in the genre that gives me a fresh feeling. But I'm guessing that this has been the opener film to a whole new kind of cinema for me. Maybe it helped that I had also been awake for way too many hours, but I felt like I was watching the first movie where I felt like I was watching actual people exist. Even the ending felt impactful in its lack of good feeling.
ok this movie was a trip, i don't no much about gay women but i do know that she literally shit in s frying pan which is a bold statement to me as the viewer. now i know that shitting in a pan is a POWER MOVE and will apply it in my day to day life. ps the sex was pretty good 3/5 movie might show it to my mom
When I found out why this was called duck butter I was actually kinda grossed out the rest of the movie 1.4
In theory this movie could have been really good. However the film didn't seem like it knew what it wanted to do with loads of different plots just shoved in. Neither of the characters were likeable or realistic and it felt like they were spat out by a film student who wished their life was like this in uni
Watched this in 2018 and haunts me to this day. I cannot express enough that I, a random person on the internet, do not recommend this movie
The movie was sensitive and thoughtful. The story fell a little bit short though and left me questioning a lot.
Tedious. The chemistry is awful between the Two actresses and the premise is lame. Not a fan.
I only made an account to leave a review because I couldn't believe how highly it was rated. I thought it was unbelievably bad. The characters are all immature, arrogant and overwritten, while Sergio is the ultimate manic pixie dream girl. Nothing in this film makes any sense at all. I couldn't get through it in one sitting. The actors are fine and it's well-filmed but the actual plot and dialogue is unbearably strange. No one needs to see this film.
