Eraser Reviews
The special effects of the rail guns are still good to this day and the practical stunts will always stand the test of time. For some reason though they decided Arnold should do martial arts and his stunt double is noticeably a much smaller leaner person. I know this is probably to keep up with trends of the time like Jackie Chan, Jet Li and JCVD but no one is going to believe that a massive bodybuilder like Schwarzenegger is capable of performing some of the kicks that his character executes. I know action movies are supposed to be larger than life spectacle but I did find this aspect distracting and unnecessary. James Caan played a hard ass to perfection as always. Vanessa Willaims was a competent female side character who was at least written to be some what intelligent and brave.
Arnold can't help but Termniator up a movie no matter what role he plays. What starts off as a decently good FBI coverup plan soon turns into weird electronic guns and Arnold's biceps.
an ok action flick but its a little boring
Eraser felt like a parody of Commando and T2 the alligator attack scene looks cgi and the story is so silly but is really a good bad movie to watch.
The last great Arnold Schwarzenegger action film.
he has a life long green card in my book
The film features plenty of dumb moments yet remains an entertaining watch.
One of the great action films of the 90s.
Hindsight is 20/20 and this movie I loved more before it's fun ,full of action. But the story is is a mess Arnold is a special government agent who can erase an identity and stop imported illegal lasers. Along the way he fumbles to have chemistry with the lead and do anything important. And now After a few more watches and fifteen years since viewing it, it doesn't hold up, I wish it did, just call it the one with the bulldozer. Still fun, more pointless exercise in film making.
pure 90's action movie
Over 25 years old and I only saw parts of this as a kid; didn't leave much of an impression on me and I totally forgot Vanessa Williams was in this Kruger specializes in helping people disappear without any trace working for Witness Protection Dr. Lee Cullen is the latest person he's assigned to after she stumbles onto company secrets of a major arms corporation They're using a modern gun selling to terrorists But more danger might lurk inside Kruger's own organization Both he and Cullen have to work together to expose the conspirators and get her to safety There's fun action, wonderful performances but the plot is pretty rote and obsolete It's been done hundreds of times and better in many respects For those who want some dumb thrills with Schwarzenegger they'll get their fill even if it's forgettable
Another one of my favorite action films of all time.
This film was really entertaining and engaging.
I THINK THE 1996 BLOCKBUSTER FILM "ERASER" WITH ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER WAS AN AWESOME MOVIE, BY THE WAY. R.I.P JAMES CAAN, JAMES COBURN & OF COURSE, ROBERT PASTORELLI.
Eraser is a passable 90's action movie - there is not much that sets it apart from others though.
It's impressive how a movie with so many explosions can be so boring. Eraser is a bland action flick with a long-winded and forgettable plot. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a standard action hero, Vanessa Williams is beautiful, and James Caan is…in this movie. I'm also wondering if the visual effects were impressive back in the 90s, or if they looked corny then, too. Either way, I didn't care for Eraser.
ALRIGHT, LOOK. I WATCHED MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME CALLED "THE ERASER" WITH ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER ON NETFLIX, BUT IT'S AN AWESOME MOVIE, BY THE WAY. IT'S CALLED THE EMP RAIL GUNS, OF COURSE.
Can someone jump of out of an airplane, catch a parachute and then shoot at the same airplane he jumped out of? And survive? I doubt it, so I’m giving it 3 stars.
Just a classic, old-school action flick with Arnold in his prime. The plot is a bit cheesy, and the CGI looks like it was done in, well the 90's, but the movie still holds up.
