This moving documentary provides much needed representation of the I in LGBTQIA+. The fight for trans and intersex rights overlap as they both challenge the simplistic notion of using a binary to categorize individuals. With over 40 documented biological variations of sex, there is hard evidence that sex too is non-binary.

This is an extraordinary look to what has been a 'secret' for many years. This documentary brings to light the lives of three-four major recipients of doctor advised, confused parents permissions, to have children born with dual gender parts an dhow they were forced into becoming something they were not. Once a taboo topic, this enlightens the audience to what they went through and how they changed laws to transform their rights as individuals and stop the mutilation of their organs to achieve 'proper society' genders. No longer can a parent have their child undergo this surgery and now the individual will make that choice when they grow up - after puberty and how they identify. Excellent film - no forceful shocking things - just plain and simple the realizations that we are all humans and individuals - and some, cannot control how they were born - acceptance is what we need in our society. As a real gender person, I was enlightened a great deal by this wonderful documentary - tastefully executed - and it really is a must see!

Incredible story!! A must see for all people - especially parents or people who may want to be parents one day!! I love how the director tells the story of real people who are intersex and shows us how prevalent intersex is in the world, despite being inexplicably kept a secret! There's absolutely nothing wrong with being intersex and we all need to be ok talking/hearing about it so we're no longer subjecting babies and children to surgeries against their will!!

The film gave me an insight into intersex people and the troubles most encounter for decisions they had no control over. A movie for our times when LGBQt+ rights are under attack. Nothing but praise for this important film. Stay strong everyone.

Excellent movie, interesting and compelling storylines, definitely pertinent and timely. Well performed and edited. We attended with friends out of curiosity. We departed with a deeper understanding, empathy, and heartfelt compassion for Intersex members, their families and friends. Our small group was very moved by this movie. Our dialogues and conversation continued well after departing the theatre.

I learned so much about what it means to be intersex and how many different ways it could look. I also learned about how pervasive anti-intersex ideology is in medicine and how it leads to shame and pain and feeling like people have to hide who they are. It's so refreshing to see intersex representation, because it's truly so rare, and I feel fired up to fight for the cause. An absolutely stellar film!!
