The story is far better than the script. The two leads are well matched but the dialog seemed stilted.

Well the cast was promising and the title made it sound like an action movie so I watched it without having a clue but it was pretty boring to be honest. Even the acting was off.

Critics are coldhearted bastards! As someone who has lived with a son with a rare genetic disease for which there is no treatment, this film is a ray of hope and really under plays the melodrama of what it is like for a family to live with trying to save their child's, or in this case, children's lives. You do whatever you can to make their lives better and longer. Nothing is more heartening than to see the story of people who made it happen. Critics still love the worst melodrama I have ever seen, the totally fictitious Gone with the Wind with a selfish, totally reprehensible "heroine" who is anything but, while this tense true drama about a family's struggle against all odds to try to save their children, the critics hate? Shows what critics know of the real drama that people live with every day of their lives! Critics don't know a damn thing about real life!

It's good movie to watch

A bit heavy handed on a topic I'd never heard of, Pompe disease, but it pulls the heart strings appropriately. The daughter, played by Meredith Droeger, nearly steals the movie away from the box office draws Ford and Fraser. Powerful performances save a by-the-numbers story and make it worthwhile.

I saw this last night on Netflix. It stars Brendan "the mummy" Fraser as a devoted dad trying to find a cure that does not exist for his ill kids who were born with a rare disorder. Based on a true story. Harrison Ford is the doctor who can help him but is difficult to deal with. Brendan impress in a serious role while Ford is his grouchy self like he seems to be all the time now. The little girl is adorable and the mom is played by the last planet of the apes female lead. 3 out of 5 stars.

It is hard to make a movie about the science of drug discovery and avoid making it a boring narrative. A good movie about a larger than life character, an enjoyable watch.

This movie is really dissapointing. First of all, this movie is extraordinarily clichèd. Now they think they can just put in a movie that is "emotional" and expect a miracle and money. Not with this. They try to hard to try to get you to cry, or at least be emotional. It's almost laughable as they (once again) think they can make an emotional movie and have everyone like it. Guess what, it doesn't work. Secondly, it's boring. There's just pointless scenes to try to extend the movie longer and longer. Megan and Patrick make brief appearances in the movie, and they are the ones the movie is about! By the middle, you forget about the disease, and it's almost like they don't want you to care about the disease. But if that's what they intended on doing, they did a good job. Lastly, it doesmt feel like a movie. Just random scenes, the wanna-be emotional scenes, and has that hallmark channel original feel to it. Overall, this movie missed what should've been an easy opportunity to showcase Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford. Boring, unnecessary, and tries to be emotional, this movie misses in every way possible.

The conflict in this movie seemed to be on a cycle of repeat. It also seemed formulaic compared to a lot of similar movies. However, the child actors were fun to watch, and I can't help but love Brendan Fraser.
