Very simple but original idea. No idea how it was going to end. Thrilling!

Not quite the nuanced masterpiece that some of the critics make it out to be, it does deal with weighty moral issues but is very repetitive in its focus on the risk of collateral damage to one individual. And did weI miss the part where that child was only there because her father was hosting a bunch of fanatics who were prepping two imminent suicide bombings?

While overall it is a decent little movie, it does not have enough heft to cover the 1 hour and 45 minutes run time. There is about 45 minutes worth of a story here. It drags on while dealing with one small detail over and over comprising the entire story. To drop a bomb or not due to collateral damage of 1 little girl.

For those that say this movie was boring and/or stupid, I get it, this movie isn't for you. You like the action packed, blowing crap up everywhere type of movies. Go back to Marvel then. This started out with me thinking, "he the dude from Breaking Bad, Helen Marrin and Alan Rickman, that's cool. Then I realized what type of movie this is. It takes you through the mind and thought processes of what all of the different parts of a drone strike must go through. It helps you feel what it is like having to make a real world decision of "the many are worth more than the few" and the people actually doing the dirty work of "the one is greater than the many". It is a drama/suspense that makes you think about your beliefs and how far you would go to protect them. Great film in my opinion.

Dumb. The plot makes no sense, the drone operators job makes no sense, the plot, writing and acting was all terrible. How did this get such good reviews????????? Sooooooo bad.

The drone operators were a joke. Totally unbelievable.

This movie should have been titled "Saving the girl selling bread", because that is the main plot. The 2 people in charge of firing the drone would never have those jobs because they cannot conduct the mission. They are like newbies taken off the street, who have no place in a killing job.

Wow, intense and emotional movie. Also, it didn't feel like 1.75 hours! It felt way longer.

Yikes! I'm giving three stars just for Helen Mirren and Alan Rickman involvement. But even they can't save this talking-head snoozefest full of lukewarm claptrap plot cringe where nothing happens. Minus two stars for RT glitching and disappearing my initial review. Shame.

Solidissimo e centratissimo war thriller costruito veramente bene sotto ogni punto di vista. Dapprima la presentazione dei personaggi è a dir poco perfetta, la suddivisione in diversi Paesi rende più semplice comprendere in breve tempo il ruolo di ogni personaggio, e fin da subito i dialoghi chiari rendono ben comprensibile anche la scala gerarchica, elemento molto importante per il film. Una volta introdotta la storia, il climax di tensione e di emozioni è perfettamente costruito intorno a quell'unico evento costruito talmente bene da poter tranquillamente dividere in parti uguali anche un pubblico di spettatori che si approccia al film. Oltre a questo, le interpretazioni sono buone e gli attori si passano molto bene la palla del protagonismo; degno di noto è il brevissimo assolo del grande Alan Rickman, personaggio forse più interessante dell'intera pellicola. Finale molto ben orchestrato ma forse un pelo troppo rapido.

This was such an engaging and intense film that kept you on the edge. It had a great storyline and cast. It's definitely worth the watch.

Pretty solid acting and plot all around. It's an interesting test; some people will reflexively assume the U.S. military are the bad guys, and are sympathetic to suicide bombers. If somebody thinks it's morally complex, then they have a serious bias against letting innocent civilians live. One of the biggest tragedies of terrorism and other violent crime are exactly that the terrorists put people directly around them in incredible danger, and will attempt to use civilians as a meat shield.
