Great to see while zooted

One of the most fantastically horrifying dystopian films ever made by FAR.

As aesthetically stunning as intriguing philosophical. With an absolutely brilliant soundtrack. One of the best movies I've ever watched.

Tedious, dreary, plodding, Giant blue Draggs keep tiny wild humans as pets, Hero human steals knowledge necklace, and humans soon rebel, Unremarkable animation style and production design, Boring, uninspiring story, No empathetic characters.

'Fantastic Planet' is an interesting film, especially for its time. The film feels as if I am on psychedelics. It made me think about the way we treat animals and puts us in the perspective of the animals / pets. Probably one of my favorite animated films!

Fantastic Planet is a strange film. This strangeness mostly stems from the animation. Plot aside, I would hold Fantastic Planet in high regards with its wondrously creative visual world alone. The story follows a human, or Om, named Terr through key moments in his life. The film begins with a giant blue hand pestering his mother. Eventually, this hand picks her up and drops her from a fatal height. Here we are introduced to the Draags and their relationship with Oms. Humans do not dominate this strange planet. They are far from the apex predators, merely ants compared to the Draags. Baby Terr is left alone, but a compassionate Draag father and daughter, Sinh and Tiwa, stumble upon him. Sinh allows his daughter to take baby Terr as her pet. From here, we see a bond between Tiwa and Terr grow, Terr’s fortunate education, and eventual escape from Tiwa’s control. Terr will play a pivotal role in the relationship between Draags and Oms in this strange tale. I don’t think an altered mind is required. If you enjoy fantastic worlds, creative animation, and great soundtracks, Fantastic Planet offers a wonderful escape.

I think i found my new favorite animated film. Fantastic Planet is a fantastic film turly that pushes the boundaries of animation and storytelling. From start to finish, it takes viewers on an journey to a distant planet where imagination is king. The animation style is mesmerizing, with its surreal visuals that transport you to a new world. What truly sets this film apart is its enchanting soundtrack. The music perfectly complements the animation in a way few films can, and it really helps the viewing experience. The haunting melodies are a world all on their own that immerses you in the film's otherworldly setting. The film also has some very deep messages about oppression, cultural differences and the search for freedom. Themes that are still as relevant today as they were back then. Fantastic Planet has really stood the test of time as a true animation masterpiece. The combination of stunning visuals and an immersive soundtrack make for an unforgettable viewing experience. This film is a true gem and should be required viewing for any fan of animation or science fiction.

Absolute favorite film of all time. It's uniqueness is unmatched, and tells a story unlike anything you've seen before. The music feels alien, and the experience itself feels like jumping into a different planet. Undefeated by any other film I have seen so far!

I'm honestly not even sure what to make of this movie. It's both disturbing, yet so incredibly intriguing. From the animation style, to the underlying message and thematic elements, this film definitely leaves you thinking.

Neat concept with potential, however the writing seemed more rushed the further I watched into it.

Vivid, imaginative, trippy and thought-provoking. Can't do anything except gawking the screen, wide-eyed the entire time. Such inventive and ingenious piece of art. One of the most profound films I've ever seen.

A fantastic story with brilliant animation, this is 100% worth a watch. Even if i can't call it perfect just because of my views on the characters. But a good 90/100 is fantastic enough for me.

Admittedly, it's a rather bizarre film but truly fantastic. The animation style is differently unique and successfully adds to the imaginative story of this world. It is a sweet film that is an absolutely pleasure to watch.
