Federer: Twelve Final Days Reviews

Dec 23, 2024

I remember when Roger Federer entered the tennis scene in full force around 2004. For a few years he dominated. I was thankful when Rafa Nadal and later, Novak Djokovic, came along to challenge him. Roger was like an artist on the court, beautiful to watch, unusually talented. I thought this documentary would capture this but it didn't. I wanted to see a career retrospective - an example after example of what made Roger Federer such a great tennis player. This would have been nice if this documentary focused on this rather than on how he approached his retirement. Any of us can retire. Few of us have such vivid highlights of our career as Roger Federer does. This documentary was a definite disappointment.

This is a great documentary on the face of it. Federer comes across as humble and likeable, and the scenes with his family are lovely. However, what really bothers me is that in this entire film there are endless references to "the best player' "the greatest player" etc etc AND NOT ONE MENTION OF SERENA!!! Best male player =\= best player and it is exhausting that this should still be pointed out.

This sports documentary was really good. Roger Federer and the entire crew did an excellent job on making this documentary. It was dramatic and interesting to watch. They really go into what Roger was preparing for on the day of Roger's final match. If you haven't seen this documentary yet, check it out sometime. It's worth watching.

I live for any Federer content

Documentary is somewhat devalued for those that know, in that in the minds of most, Djokovic has already surpassed Federer in the rankings of all time greats. Even still, film effectively captures the harsh reality of father time, which even icons can not out run.

The description on Prime Video stared "home video was leaked that was never meant to be seen." This lead me to believe something dramatic was going to happen, but it was the most boring and slow dragged out documentary of someone retiring I have ever seen. Norhing happemed, except he retired, like watching paint dry for me.

Nothing we dunno about already, it seemingly appears he wanted to keep his name and fame in circulation as it's only 2 years after his retirement. Strictly for his Super Fans.

Boring and sycophantic portrayal. Should be more focused on his struggles and on tennis itself.

The last 30 mins. is the best part of the show. Going to missed Fed. The most like tennis player of all time.......

Sucked in by the hype and it was pretty good! If you lived through the Federer era!

I’m going to confess I am extremely biased being a HUGE Federer & tennis fan. I had tears watching his last match in the Laver Cup at the O2 in 2022 & once again the tears flowed watching this. It is a once in a lifetime that you get someone who truly takes the sport to another level. Football has Messi, Basketball and Michael Jordan, golf had Tiger Woods. Tennis had Roger. Loved this but if you’re not a fan even I have to admit this is probably not for you.

Masterpiece so cool seeing all the players behind the scenes and getting a look at just how much Roger has impacted their careers and what he has done for the game of tennis

I’ve been a Roger Federer fan since he came onto the tennis scene, so I was counting down to see this documentary. Originally it was intended to be used as only a family movie, but I’m glad they made it into a doc & released it on Prime. Even though I’m a huge tennis fan (attended all 4 majors, play tennis, watch it on 온라인카지노추천 etc.) the behind-the-scenes was a special treat as we got to see Roger and his family go through many emotions; his interactions and friendships with his fellow players and rivals; and learn his innermost thoughts about his retirement, career and last Laver Cup tournament. It’s a must see for all tennis fans, and highly recommended for those who enjoy documentaries.

This is truly a documentary, not trying to sell a story, just recordings of Federer's final days, but it gets truly emotional at the end. It's the end of an incredible era. We get to see how Federer and other players really are like off the court, and most importantly, how his friendship with Nadal is stronger than we might previously know, which is probably what makes his farewell so emotional.

I’ve never been so emotional for so long watching anything in my life. Superb!

I'm not the biggest Tennis fan in the world, but this was surprisingly entertaining . I was a bit taken aback by the honesty in this. The message i took was, you don't get to be as great as him without enormous sacrifice & dedication.

s not just a film; it's an experience that stays with you. It's a reminder of the enduring power of love and the ways in which the past can shape our present. Whether you’re a fan of romantic dramas or simply appreciate well-crafted cinema, this film is a must-watch.
