It's a comedy and I know it's not the best movie but it makes you have a fun and enjoyable time, in my personal opinion it's a good movie to watch when you don't have something to watch, I'm not saying it's good, let alone saying it's bad it's just an interesting movie. Thanks for your time

Great acting and some great jokes. Just not enough jokes to last the entire movie.

It's just meant to be a dumb, fun movie that you're supposed to have a laugh with. If you go into it expecting anything else, you'll probably be disappointed. It's certainly not the best comedy compared to other great comedy films. There are certainly some stand out scenes that get a reaction out of you. I love Charlie Day and Ice Cube, I think they did good for what they were given. While everyone else is just kinda there. Some of the comedy hits, some doesn't. So overall, it's not bad at all but not amazing either. Don't go into it expecting a great script or cohesive story because that's not what the movie was focusing on, it was meant to just be dumb fun.

"Fist Fight" is exactly what a movie with its premise needs to be, which is a dumb comedy. I think with the right mindset, there is fun to be had with this movie. The jokes sometimes are repetitive and ride the same wavelength, but I did have fun watching this movie. I've always liked Charlie Day and think anyone who enjoys his brand of chaotic humor can find enjoyment here. I'm not sure this movie says anything really productive in terms of themes or messages, but it is a wacky ride that still delivers a lot of solid raunchy, and slapstick jokes. Overall, it is a very silly comedy that isn't going among the great movies in the genre but is a lot better than most will have you believe it is and actually delivers some solid laughs.

Not my choice of viewing matter - I hated high school - but there was absolutely nothing else on the other night (Peacock). The film dragged on leading to 3:00 pm and the titular Fist Fight but a few good chortles to be had, especially when Strickland arrives at the hospital reception desk and, with his usual tact and grace, announces his presence to the unresponsive nurse/receptionist. Haven't you ever felt his frustration? I have, and I'm still laughing at his audacious demand 3 days later. Good for him. My only problem with this movie is a lack of well-behaved students. The entire student body is either pulling a prank or laughing at pranks or goading on the pranksters. My high school was full of jerks including false bomb-threat callers who, bare-handed, toppled cop cars onto their sides when help arrived but, there in among the evacuees standing out in the rain was I, an Old School nerd, a dying breed, shivering and - ok, also snickering. Go, Lancers!

Funny movie with 2 teachers that can't seem to get along. I wish teachers were like this when I went to school. Having a fist fight at the end of the year.

Pretty Hard To Watch

Didn't mind the movie. It's not gonna win any Oscars or anything but, the cast did a great job. Christina is ALWAYS nice to look at, and the message of the movie was a good one. Don't go into thinking too much but just sit back and enjoy the fight. Dance sequence was very funny.

In addition to the jokes that did not have the expected effect, even with a very funny cast, their events make the fight and comedy scenes less than the audience needs or would like to know.

I have so many problems with Fist Fight that it’s going to be hard to talk about them all. First and foremost, Charlie Day (and his character by extension) is HORRIBLE in this film. He comes off as the most unlikeable, weaselly, annoying, and downright moronic human being on the planet. I think some part of the film is asking us to feel bad for him, and root for him to avoid the beating he will receive, but I wanted to punch him in the face more than Ice Cube’s character. In fact, the film might be more tolerable if you just look at Ice Cube as the protagonist, and root for him to come out on top. This proves to be difficult though, because his character in the film is also problematic, but more on that later. The steps that Charlie Day takes in order to avoid his beatdown are downright evil, including at least one felony, and he also wastes enough money that he will put his family in a worse financial position than they would have been if he had just lost his job in the first place. To make matters worse he is raising kids, and the biggest scene with his daughter shows that he is influencing her to become just as bad as him. The comedy all fell flat for me. I don’t know if there was a single well-constructed joke in the entire film. Instead it relies on “wacky” characters saying inappropriate things to try to shock us into laughter. Worst of the bunch was Jillian Bell who has a full running gag about wanting to rape the students. The movie seems to take a weird stance on bullying, and implies that being afraid of physical assault as an adult male is laughable. Then the cherry on top of this crap-filled sundae is that it furthers negative portrayals of black men as scary, dangerous thugs. Watching it at this moment in time just made it stand out even more that Fist Fight is highlighting one aspect of the failure in our country to overcome racism and inequality. By presenting Ice Cube as this big frightening black man who can’t control his temper and wants to hurt the poor little white guy, it made my skin crawl, because this is the kind of stereotype that is programmed into us and which leads to our ongoing battle with discrimination. Needless to say, Fist Fight is a despicable film, and one I would encourage others to avoid at all cost.

This isn't a movie, it's one of those viral challenges. You have to try to find a story beyond the cussing and anatomy "jokes"

OK nice and all, but this movie already existed, 30 years before--It is called "Three O'Clock high" (1987). Andy Campbell is Jerry Mitchell, Ron Strickland is Buddy Revell. Anyways, here is some criticism: a) Seriously, Hollywood. What is it with casting Black people as villains?! b) The storyline only works, when its kids, adolescents, or young adults, NOT grown men. But some ups: Campbell's daughter's rendition of "I don't $#@$ with you" by Big Sean was hilarious--Lesson to all bullies: You mess with the bull, you get the horns...Right to the face!

Ron Strickland (Ice Cube) is pretty funny throughout this movie but his funny humor doesn't carry the movie to being good.

If we're ranking this a comedy, (which is what we should be doing) and not a big meaning , no mistake movie, this was a pretty good movie full of laughs.
