Forever Young Reviews
Ultimately, it all culminates in a soulless, sad, full of air and artifice sentiment, "Well, you should've been there." [Full review in Spanish]

Bruni's work is attractive and voracious, with explosive youth, and it's made up of moments rather than conforming to the form of a classic narrative story... [Full review in Spanish]

The new film by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi is doubly fascinating. [Full review in Spanish]

Forever Young is two solid hours of theater-kid energy, a film that wholeheartedly believes that the art of acting is a beautiful, agonized, possibly holy mission, and if you don’t exactly subscribe to that ideology, this is an incredibly irritating film.

Ended with an indefinable feeling of bewilderment, something I've come to appreciate more and more in today's cinema. [Full review in Spanish]

... Forced and somewhat pedantic. [Full review in Spanish]

“Forever Young” excels at evoking the sexually liberated atmosphere that must surely exist in any acting school, but which appears to have been particularly electric at the Lee Starsberg-inspired Amandiers.
| Original Score: C | May 28, 2022
... A cheesy, affected, and very self-indulgent portrait of the age of innocence of a poor rich girl.

A little bit of ham is always a part of the show, especially from an actor whose performances take big swings. Watching Bruni Tedeschi wrestle with her own questions offers a worthy spectacle all by itself.

We have to highlight the difference with which Japanese Ryûsuke referenced Chekhov as thematic support in Drive My Car (2021). And it is that he has talent. Bruni-Tedeschi, doesn't.

Long before the end of this indulgent, histrionic personal history, we’ve lost patience with this exposed-nerve character, for whom every feeling is deeper, rawer and more passionate than normal — except the feeling that she might ever be in the wrong.

Full of charm. [Full review in Spanish]

An intense and fertile experience for the young performers living through it. [Full review in Spanish]

Enjoyable, with some navel gazing tendencies, Tedeschi has a strong command in an environment she clearly knows and loves.

For anyone who thinks theatre kids shouldn’t have rights, this will be a grating experience from start to finish.
| Original Score: 2/5 | May 23, 2022
Endless drama, perpetual pouting and nonstop narcissism in this epically tiresome movie.
| Original Score: 2/5 | May 23, 2022
Show people, as they used to be called, are usually fun to be around, at least some of the time, but these narcissists are just a drag.
| May 22, 2022
It’s a sweet but oddly circumspect film, ruled by a friction between warring demands: the allure of wistful memories and the rigor of complex appraisal.

Forever Young is a strange beast. It’s a fondly nostalgic chronicle which nonetheless makes the world it is chronicling seem absolutely dreadful.

The full throttle, pedal-to-the-metal acting style won’t be for everyone, and the film may be a draining, somewhat stressful experience for anyone remotely introverted. Still, there is an infectious exuberance to the picture.
