Blown Away. Knew nothing of this movie and just was available @ my library. Great acting all around and the story was excellent but the best part was how it all unfolded. A lot of movies kind of tank b/c they either reveal too much too soon- or never enough at all- this one peels off it's layers EXPERTLY!. Some of the acting was really masterful. I almost gave it 5 which is for a few movies only, still contemplating it. If you liked Jumper or Push- this runs along those veins in ways. Just goes to show that when you have a great story with supernatural features in it= it doesn't have to be from MCU- there's plenty of material waiting to be created using the supernatural powers arc. Glad you exploited that to fantastic effect. Thank You for your effort and for the entertainment.

Loved the suspense, kept me interested the whole movie!!

In films like this one, the child is usually unrealistically smart. In Freaks, the child is unrealistically dumb. It's like everyone around her is speaking a language she doesn't understand. Chloe has multiple decisions to make throughout the story and she somehow makes the worst one 90% of the time. 7 year olds are dumb, but they aren't this dumb. The story was great, but the slow start combined with the constant yelling and whining of the little girl made the movie almost unbearable. Everytime she yelled her eye would bleed, and my ears would bleed at the same time. They could've made her a toddler and her decisions and behavior would make more sense.

This movie was a big surprise. Unlike typical movies which pull you in with exciting action and character development, but soon fades away to boring and tedious following acts, this movie is the opposite. Starts off like the 鈥淭he Diary of Anne Frank鈥� for the first 20 minutes; 2-3 actors in a dingy room. Great, I thought, another (extremely) low budget movie just to explore the interaction between a couple of characters, however I absolutely recommend sticking with it. Becomes an amazing script, plot and special effects with great acting, and the ending isn鈥檛 too bad either. Deserves the high reviewers and audience score and makes up for some of the other unoriginal tedious repetitive tripe I鈥檝e endured on Netflix.

Brilliant all round sci-fi thriller. Takes a bit of time to get going but necessary to build the characters.

Dumbfoundingly amazing that the pro critics have it right! FREAKS is an excellent sci-fi thriller with good direction, production and casting; terrific performances by all 鈥� especially by Emile Hirsch; Bruce Dern 鈫抋-l-w-a-y-s delivers and 鈥� Lexy Kolker is real dynamite! Really looking forward to the next episode!

Unique and creative. The child actress, Lexy Kolker, does an amazing job of carrying a lot of the movie. Always good to see Bruce Dern too.

Great sci fi flick. It's comparable to an X-Men movie without the 10million dollar budget (which I can appreciate). Acting was on point. Storyline was great.

You start off the film a bit lost, wondering what exactly is happening but once questions start to get answered and and you figure out what鈥檚 going on, you鈥檙e invested and along for the ride. Very well done sci-fi flick that had me and my son cheering out loud at the end.

It's like someone that has never read an x-men comic, tried explaining to someone else what they thought it was about while half watching Bad Boy Bubby, and that person made a half ass film that's absolutely not a horror movie, and barely sci-fi, based on said conversation before labelling it as a sci-fi/horror. It's really, really bad.

Entertainment from those who, the less you know, the better it gets. 鈥淗idden鈥� on Disney+ (and which I have never heard of) has a plot that moves between genres with mastery, involves us with its heavy plot and impresses with its narration, which is not perfect, but shows without compunction how human beings can be aberrations.

Interesting concept but sub par execution. The movie was overall clich茅 but entertaining. I wasn鈥檛 sure where it was going for a majority of the movie which I enjoyed - but along with that there wasn鈥檛 a whole lot of structure. The child actor is incredible though. Well done to her!

It was a good movie, I was worried it鈥檇 be horror but it was just suspenseful and a sci-fi thriller. I didn鈥檛 particularly like the ending, could have been a little more fleshed out.

This movie is written so badly. You have no idea what the plot is for at least the first 30 minutes. The acting is confusing and ridiculous, and once you finally DO have the plot it鈥檚 leading you to think the antagonists should be protagonists鈥�. Also this little girl just killed so many people to free her mom who ALSO kills a bunch of civilians? As soon as they handed me the plot it was lost. 100% convinced anyone who loved this movie was a paid freak

The movie 鈥淔reaks鈥� turned out to be far from the thrilling and exciting experience I expected, instead landing in the realm of extreme corniness. The exaggerated theatrics and nonsensical storyline seemed to indicate that the filmmakers had lost their way, making it hard to understand what they were aiming for. While the young girl in the film delivered a solid performance given the material, the overall quality of the movie was lacking. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying watch. The supernatural elements, involving a young girl with telepathic abilities, felt contrived and unconvincing. The plot involving a military force hunting individuals with bleeding eyes as a way to identify the "freaks" was bizarre and outlandish, adding to the overall sense of absurdity and corniness. It was hard to take the film seriously, as it came across as more of a goofy, campy production rather than a compelling thriller.

This was more of a waste of time than interesting. The acting was fine, the plot was fine but I really wasn't able to get attached to any one character. When you don't care about the outcome of anyone then what's the sense.

I find it impossible to believe that the movie was filmed with a 2000 CAD budget and a lot of favours, like some articles say, hundreds of people cannot all have worked for completely free. But they have done an amazing job with a surely low budget. This just goes to prove that talent coupled with determination can do anything. Even though the movie was limited to a few locations, the plot and the actors performances made up for it. It definitely lost some momentum in the final minutes due to subpar CGI and a few questionable choices. However, I still recommend watching it, it surely was a pleasant surprise.
