Basic slasher, mindless entertainment don't go into the movie looking for a horror masterpiece. Solid kills forgettable characters and story.

Anyone who rated this lower than a 4 starts is on cr@ck. Sorry, not sorry. You are legit crazy. This movie rules. I get some of the characters are annoying but it makes it all that more satisfying when Jason takes them out. Movie rules. The arrow through the head on the boat leading to the dock machete through the head kill was such an awesome sequence.

Probably the best horror remake next to Texas chainsaw massacre, my bloody valentine, and Halloween

A lot of things I feel Jason would’ve never done he has done in this movie. My lease favorite Jason movie, the beginning had the best scenes. I still watch it here and there because I’m a huge Jason fan.

GREAT KILLS A VERY SCARY JASON A FUN WATCH IF U CAN IGNORE ALL THE UNNECESSARY NOISES AND NUDITY THAT DOESNT NEED TO BE IN THE FILM IF U TAKE IT OUT OF THE FILM IT IS A VERY FUN AND ENTERTAINING SLASHER FILM.

The reboot of Jason feels like it tries to tap into Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibes instead of pulling from the retro 80s Friday the 13th Movies. There's definite nods to the original.

I found this more interesting than previous installments and Jason is an absolute beast in this. This film is a rare instance in which the remake is actually good.

2009’s Friday the 13th reboot offered a delightful compilation of the franchise’s signature elements: the fun factor, stupid young adults and their steamy encounters, the iconic camp setting of Crystal Lake, and of course, Jason Voorhees’ return, this time without his mother. However, the film overplay’s itself stupidly and fails to bring fresh blood to the table. Jason Voorhees, in need of some unexpected twists and turns, was unable to start a new and exciting chapter for the franchise. Grading: C-

What a Stupendous remake !

Jason might have been beefed up but the same can't be said of the dormant franchise. With characters ranging from dumb to downright detestable, there's little to love about the return of everyone's favourite machete wielding maniac.

In my personal opinion the best Friday the 13th movie, there are many reasons why it is my favorite, such as Jason's design, he is very burly and intimidating, when he runs he looks very intimidating, Clay Miller has been my favorite protagonist of the saga after Tommy Jarvis, some could say that Clay could have left that place as soon as he found out about Jason but he had a reason to stay...His sister.And along with these I can say many more things but if I continue it will take forever. This movie deserved much more success than it received in addition to clearly deserving a sequel or even saga.

Even though there's a lot of hate for this film, i still enjoyed it quite a lot

Another Jason movie? You dang right! I honestly thought it was ok the first time around decent but not great. I watched it again a few years later and I honestly feel it's a solid interpretation of the series adding elements of quite a few of the first films. The guy who plays Jason, Derek Mears, does an excellent job of being his own version of Jason without getting to carried away with it. Heh Though he is a murderer in a mask you, you feel his anger with everyone who in his eyes wronged him and his mother. The seens where you can see Jason's eye up close has a different feeling to me than anything before. A sense of desolation and furious anger. It's a fun watch. A dang decent 🍿 Flick and I don't think gets the praise it honestly deserves. It's been away since we gotten another Friday the 13th movie and I'm glad this one brings you back to the late 2000s and with fun wit and horrible excitement! The cast is full of characters and some you will not want to die at all. Full of twists, its worth a watch for any Friday the 13th fan or horror fan in general. 🤘

I think this remake was on the same level as the best Friday the 13th movies for many reasons. This was the scariest Jason we have ever gotten, and the kills were brutal like some of the other films in this franchise. I would still put a few Jason movies above this one, but this movie was very entertaining and I didn't mind it at all.
